Chevelle Announce First Dates With Finger Eleven
The Pulse of Radio reports that CHEVELLE has announced the first dates for its upcoming tour with Canadian act FINGER ELEVEN. The trek will kick off on February 19th in Flint, Michigan, with shows booked so far through mid-March. CHEVELLE has toured with FINGER ELEVEN before but drummer Sam Loeffler told The Pulse of Radio they're happy to hit the road with them again. "Even though we've done a couple of things together, it kind of worked really well and we all became friends, so yeah, we're gonna go out and do that again," he said. "We're gonna do some Canada stuff, which is good, 'cause we've only done a few Canada dates on this record cycle, so yeah, and then we'll do a bunch of U.S. dates and we'll keep looking at stuff as it comes up for the summer."
CHEVELLE is touring in support of its 2007 album, "Vena Sera", which features current single "I Get It" and the newly issued "The Fad".
The band has also been working on material for its next studio effort.

Why, what would you consider them to be? They aren't metal, they had like one "alternative" CD and now they are considered to be part of that garbage bin of a genre "post grunge" which as far as I'm concerned is pop-rock. I cannot think of a single band in that genre that isn't played by a top 40 radio station, or doesn't make the Billboard charts.
Chevelle is like TOOL - lite....that is a frequent criticism against this band. Chevelle has some pretty solid riffs....they do know how to put together solid lyrics and melody. I also liked old Finger Eleven...in the past - they were awesome. They toned it down a bit, but still a good band.
Wow, being that Chevelle is my favorite band, I can't imagine trashing someone's favorite band the way Chevelle is getting it on this site. If you like music and gave two minutes to Chevelle, you'd recognize that, for a three man band, they F"n Rock. Musically and lyrically, they compare to none other. I can't wait to see them live again. And I promise to not trash other bands which I know nothing about.
Chevelle kicks ass, its as simple as that. i listen to everything from Alice in Chains to Realitive Ash. they sound awesome, and the drum beats will rack your brain. just like stephanie said, there is only 3 of them, started as 3 brothers, and then in 2005 they picked up a different bassist. very impressive sound for only 3 dudes. p.s. if you think Chevelle is pop-rock, i'd love to look at your CD collection because i'm convinced its filled with what is commonly called wimp rock.
