Warmachine Dispute Dave Mustaine Claims

Toronto's WARMACHINE recently finished first - with 21% of the vote - in the Who Will Support MEGADETH In Europe? poll, conducted via TheLiveLine.com.
However, Warmachine is not opening up for Megadeth across Europe in February and March, EVILE is.
Warmachine vocalist/guitarist Joe DiTaranto has issued the following statement: "I have to address a matter that I am very unhappy about. Dave Mustaine has stated that 'Warmachine do not have the means to do the tour.' This is completely untrue! We had more than enough means to do the tour (ie. tour support, work visas, passports, crew, etc.). Dave nor his management have not even bothered to contact us at all during this whole thing. So he/they would not be aware of that."
Despite this setback, Warmachine will perform live at The Kathedral in Toronto, ON on Sunday, January 20th.

I'm perswonally kind of shocked at this. If you have a poll and you go against what the voters spent the time to vote, you should atleast owe them a plausable explination, let alone the band. I hear all of these bad things about Dave Mustaine, but he has always seems very professional....not in this instance. Warmachine may not be the huge band that other bands that could open for them are.....but they are still guys that play music for the love of it....and Megadeth was an influence on them and their playing! Such a shame that the frontman of a band that they respect so much would belittle them so much.

Dave is sorta looseing points with me. He says Satanist make him uncomfortable, but a big part of his fan base are Satanic... Me included. Then as post three mentions goes against his own poll. If Satanism makes him uncomfortable why tour with a band named Evile? Or am I mis-pronouncing the name?

I have always thought of Mustaine as a prick. He just seems so up himself.
I'm not saying he is a bad musician or anything. But he does no justice for himself with the things he says.
Also, you got kicked out of Metallica years ago. So what? We all know about it so stop going on about it. (Metallica are dead to the metal world since ...And Justice)
Kalis_wrath - i am a christian but i totally agree with what you are saying. i find Dave to be contradictive with his standards....if He were to be consistent with His faith He should be touring with bands like AS I LAY DYING and DEMON HUNTER, etc...if you are going to take a CHRISTIAN stand - then - take it all the way!

Hails to that Darnenluster! I think if you take into your life any relgion then dont do it half arsed! Dont do ANYTHING half arsed in fact! I used to get mad when I saw christian black metal bands, but think that because the whole genere is based on preservation of heritage that if christianity is your heratiage then go for it! The way I am pronouncing Evile is like Evil. How is it supposed to be?

Wow. That was pretty damn cheap of Mr. Mustaine!
I would much rather see Warmachine support Megadeth than Evile. And I live in Europe! Well Britain and we don't like to think ourselves as European but all the same lol.
