"some music was meant to stay underground..."

Night in Gales have parted ways with their drummer

German thrashers Night In Gales have officially parted ways with drummer Christian Bass, according to Blabbermouth.net.

"After seven years of Night In Gales, I felt something like stagnation coming up," explained Bass. "So, I thought about doing something new, something that makes me burn again. Surely, also some unnecessary personal and musical differences made this decision even easier, but weren't the main part of it. So, there is no reason to say that this split was needed to be done but is better in some ways. I really hope that the rest comes up again and finds a good drummer and record label again! All the best from here dudes!"

"For the people who think that I am out of business as I leave N.I.G.," continued Bass. "You are wrong! I already started a new band called Deadsoil with ex-members of Copykill and Drift. Look out for a release early/mid 2003. So, I am not dead because of leaving N.I.G. Got it?"

Currently the status of Night In Gales is unknown, as the band continues to work its way out of the downward spiral after leaving Massacre Records, who they contend refused to pay for tour support and promotion of their Necrodynamic opus. Night In Gales are auditioning new drummers, and interested parties can email: tobias_bruchmann@yahoo.de or stahlkopp@yahoo.de.

In related news, North America fans eager to hear Necrodynamic will be able to do so via a license deal with Canada's Skyscraper Music (Quo Vadis, Ab:Norm). The album should be out sometime in winter 2002.
