Deadhouse In Pre-Production For Second Album
Detroit-based metal outfit DEADHOUSE is finishing up pre-production on its sophomore album, "Orgy in the Morgue", tentatively due in the spring. The first single, "Crack the Cranium" is in rotation on Detroit's rock station WRIF 101.1 and a video for the song is said to be in "high demand" on YouTube and Myspace. Watch the clip here.
DEADHOUSE recently announced the addition of guitarist Rob Singleton (TREBLE BLEED, PEDL) to the group's ranks. The band's current lineup is rounded out by vocalist Wicked Mick of H.M.R fame, bassist Jeff "J.D" Decker and drummer Jeff Shankin (UNIVERSAL STOMP, TWIZTED).
Formed in 2002 by Wicked Mick and Shankin, DEADHOUSE's can best be described as "groove-driven psycho metal," according to a press release. "DEADHOUSE pulls in a variety of influences, including bands from NWOBHM, Bay Area thrash, and '90s power groove. The band has gone through a few lineup changes over the years, but the signature sound and powerfully heavy stage show have remained the same."
