KALMAH guitarist Antti Kokko has issued the following studio update:

"Rhythm guitars recorded, melodies recorded and some of the solos recorded. I`m very satisified with the result so far. Sound kicks ass even though it is pure sound and the songs, of course, sound good. Yesterday I recorded all the melodies and some of the solos. Now we have a month break and we continue with bass, keyboard, vocals and rest of the solos in December. Mixing will take place in January. During the pause we will concentrate on the shows here in Finland at the beginning of December. As for now this would be all. Diary continues the story in the middle of December."

Kalmah's live schedule is as follows:

December
6 - Nightlife Rock - Helsinki, Finland (with AVULSED, DEMIGOD, KATAPLEXIA)
7 - Hellä - Tampere, Finland (with Avulsed, Demigod, ELENIUM)
8 - Dante's Corner - Turku, Finland (with Avulsed, Demigod, Elenium)

As am I. Maybe it will be enough to get them to tour the states. I can hope at least.

Lots of Finnish bands have been coming to the states on tours in small venues (at least in Chicago). I'm really hoping that Spinefarm will realise that there is a considerable Kalmah fan base in the US and will put them as an opening act on a fairly decent US tour (though I would much rather prefer to see them headline).

I was more of a fan pre-Swampsong but that doesn't mean I still don't adore each bloody album they put out. Every single album is worth more than the $12 I pay.
