Soilwork Comment On KSE, Lamb Of God Tour

Swedish metallers SOILWORK have commented on being part of the upcoming LAMB OF GOD, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE co-headlining US Tour that commences in late November.
Says singer Björn Strid: "We are thrilled to be on this tour which we think is the best tour package to hit the states for a very long time. We've toured with the boys in Killswitch Engage a couple of times before and we both sure do know how to share a bottle(s) of Jack. We always had a blast! We haven't toured with Lamb Of God or DEVILDRIVER before but we've occasionally run into each other and all we can say is that we definitely dig their music and are really looking forward to get to know those guys better. Prepare to soil your pants people!”
Soilwork recently stopped by Sirius Radio studio in New York to talk about their new record Sworn To A Great Divide. Tune into Hard Attack on Sirius Radio this Thursday at 7pm EST to hear the interview and tracks off the new record. Rebroadcasts are Friday at noon EST, Saturday 3pm EST and Sunday 6pm EST.

I hope they announce more dates, hopefully some in Canada. Shoe Police what the hell are you talking about. I don't know what television your watching but I don't remember the last time I saw some on tv telling me that Lamb of God are good, I like them because I listened to them and enjoyed it no one told me to go and listen to them.
"Lamb Of God aren't as good as their fake-ass groupies think they are", what the f*** does that mean. LOG are a f***ing amazing band, totally bad-ass sh**, love em', and if you don't like em' then f*** you a$$hole. Go listen to some fa**ot-ass Killswitch or something
And oh yeah, I just recently heard some Soilwork for the first time and I was not impressed at all, like could they be any more generic, I don't think so. My conclusion, not worthy of any of the hype and most certainly not worthy to tour with THE ALMIGHT LAMB OF muthaf***in' GOD!!!!!
I'll agree with Shoe Police on this one. WAY too many people say how amazing LoG are but they really are nothing special as far as I'm concerned. Don't get me wrong, it's much better to see a load of people in Lamb Of God shirts than My Chemical Romance or whatever but for my money, LoG are the most overrated band of the year.
Edhead, what Soilwork stuff did you hear? They have their clearly amazing work (Their first four cds) then their clearly poppy work (The last two they put out).
I will agree LOG is the most over hyped metal band around these days, mostly because real metal bands are getting the shaft when they should be getting the attention LOG is.
I do agree that people do hype LoG too much, but I still have to go back to what Shoe Police said that he doesn't let people on television tell him what to listen to, I never hear LoG being talked about on tv I got into them because me buddy let me listen to them and I enjoyed it. I never listened to Soilwork are they any good???
Soilwork are generic crap if you ask me. Kids these days seem to go limp at the sound of anything with great production and metalcore-isms, to bad no-ones writing songs like At The Gates used to.
Lol @ Edhead, you really think Lamb Of God are such a big jump from KsE?

I really like LOG, I think they're worthy of all the hype they're getting, but if you all don't like em' than f*** you. If there's any band thats overrated its Killswitch and Soilwork. Bodom crushes all these bands though, dont anyone say Bodom is overrated too
Bodom has only evolved, i wouldn't exactly say for the better. With the addition of their new guitarist, the sound has changed, but they are definitely one of the most talented bands out there. Diamond Oz is completely correct in saying that Lamb of God is WAY overrated. Their music is not bad, for some reason, people who know nothing about them think they are some type of "metal gods". Talent-wise, Alexi Liaho kicks all their asses.
I dont like bodom, too over-melodic. They have a couple of good songs though like sixpounder and such but i think killswitch and soilwork are a lot better if u want something melodic, they dont over do it and they write catchy but heavy songs as hell, Yes even though they might not shred as well as Alexi Laiho but it isn't about "who does the best solos" or the most. And killswitch arent overrated since they are the pioneers of their genre and have their own unique sound unlike LOG which sound like pretty much any other metal band.. I like Log though.
woahhh tell me a band that sounds like lamb of god... there is no band that has similar vocals, let alone guitar style or tone, and not many bands have that similar bass, or drums.
Although i think soilwork is a pretty generic band and not at all melodic death metal in my opinion, Soilwork has one good song or maybe at most two, i mean they have tons of songs with one good riff or one good drum lick but they so strictly follow the intro, verse, chorus, verse, chorus, verse, chorus, verse, chorus, solo, ending, writing style that it just doesnt sound good; no passion.
and just because Alexi Liaho just plays solos all the time, doesnt mean he is better, the reason why lamb of god sounds so good is because they nail each note without flaw.
Okay dude, how can you say Killswitch has their own unique style while as Lamb Of God sound like everyone else. Well listen up young one, ITS THE OTHER WAY AROUND!! , KSE style is a lot more generic than LOG, Randy Blythe is a way the f*** better screamer the Howard Jones and doesn't sing any poppy melodic sing-a-long emo choruses to provide ear candy in any of the songs. And musically, LOG stomps Killswitch to the ground and spits on em', so does Bodom.
waaaaaahhhhhhhh! My bands better than your band!! wahh I have a small p***s and it frustrates me! Wahhh! If you people like a band, support them and go see them on tour, if not don't buy the ticket and leave it at that. If a band isn't your cup of tea and they've been around for awhile, chances are SOMEBODY likes them. So leave it to those people to go check out their shows and you can throw on a f***ing album you like in the meantime.
ok BOTH log and kse...defintily the OLD greats that have fallen to commercial sh**.....
log- less political and idk riffs just arent the same
kse- less heavy more "emo" just flat out gay
to me devildriver and soilwork r the ones that will tear sh** up
cant wait and even though i love log and kse's old stuff ill definitly love soilwork and devildriver sets
Lamb of God doesn't sound like anybody? Have you listened to Pantera and the groove thrash of the early/mid 90's? Lamb of God just took that, added some breakdowns and Egyptian riffs/solos, and called it the New wave of American Heavy Metal. They're not bad, I dig some of their tunes, but they're nothing unique, nor are they these metal gods a bunch of people make them out to be.
Jesus Christ some of you people are to f***king critical. Alot of people talk on here as if they could come up with something better. Just because you may not like a certain band it doesn't mean they suck. have any of you people listened to LOG older stuff?(burn the priest) I think LOG is doing a good thing for metal in general, but as soon as they get popular people start ripping them a new one!!!!
Yeah sure, Lamb Of God aren't "metal gods", they're one of my favorite bands but I don't view them as "metal gods" like some you assume. If you guys don't think they're that great, thats alright, but Killswitch and Soilwork aren't anything special either. And I've never heard Lamb Of God refer to themselves as New wave of American Heavy Metal, dumbasses in the music media call them that.
Lamb of God takes a lot of influence from Pantera and Testament. Don't get me wrong, they are a good band and have involved that style in a fairly unique way, they are not metal gods or completly revolutionary. I enjoyed Killswitchs new cd and think that they are headed more toward a melodic metal style and moving away from metalcore. Soilwork used to write very good material, their new stuff is mediocre and fairly unoriginal, sadly taking the same path In Flames is. I think this will be a very solid show, as all four of these bands can perform really well.
I'm critical because I believe mediocre music is getting the attention that far suburb metal deserves. Tours keep coming through America of popular metal bands that aren't remarkable, while bands like Eternal Tears of Sorrow or Suidakra haven't been stateside because they're popularity is mostly confined to Europe.
