Dethklok To Hold Listening Parties For "The Dethalbum"

Cartoon metal gods Dethklok (of the Adult Swim program Metalocalypse) and AOL Music have announced a special debut listening party for the band’s new record, “The Dethalbum,” online on Monday, September 24 before it hits streets, Tuesday, September 25.

Metalocalypse: Dethklok’s “The Dethalbum” will be released to coincide with the start of Season 2 of the show, Metalocalypse. The new season premieres Sunday, September 23 on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim, at 11:45pm EST.

The track list for Metalocalypse: Dethklok’s “The Dethalbum” is as follows:

The album will also be released as a 2-disc Deluxe Edition, which includes seven additional songs, as well as the music video for “Bloodrocuted” and footage from Season 2 of Metalocalypse.

Created by Brendon Small and Tommy Blacha, Metalocalypse follows the on and off-stage adventures of Dethklok, the incredibly talented and insanely popular Norwegian heavy metal band. Dethklok boasts the lineup of: vocalist Nathan Explosion – lyrical visionary, Skwisgaar Skwigelf & Toki Wartooth – two of the fastest guitarists alive, bassist William Murderface and Pickles the Drummer- the soul of the band. Not really.

Ive listened to it twice now. This is actually a solid album! Any metalhead needs to listen to it, whether you like the show or not. Being spun-off the show, I view it more as a parody, but it could be taken as a serious metal album. Which is what makes it great.

i like the original songs from tv better. I don't know why. All the songs are remastered and they slightly ruined the songs. ex the original duncan hills coffee jingle ripped from tv sounds better than the one on the album. not meaning quality, just the new way the song is played
