Scott Ian Speaks On Van Halen Reunion

Last Night Scott Ian of ANTHRAX went to see a VAN HALEN rehearsal. Here is a blog off of his Myspace about the night:
"I went to see Van Halen rehearse last night (September 12th). They were fucking amazing. Seriously, the hair on my arms was standing up. Dave (Lee Roth) sang great, Eddie (Van Halen) was shredding, Alex (Van Halen) is a fucking monster and Wolf (Van Halen) was perfect. Great on bass and hit every high note. The set list was 2 1/2 hours of the best shit. 'I'm The One', 'Atomic Punk', 'Romeo Delight', 'Somebody Get Me A Doctor', 'Mean Street', 'Unchained' and so many more. Do whatever you gotta do to get tix to see this. FINALLY!!!!! A real full blown arena rock act!!!!! It's like listening to the soundtrack of America since 1978. THE KINGS ARE BACK!!!!!!!"

I fully expect to get my mind blown at the show in Cleveland on October 10th. This is too cool! Dave and Sam isn't a debatable topic; Van Halen is Van Halen, and arguing singers is "potato" "po-tah-to". It's truly about time. GOD BLESS VAN HALEN ! ! ! !

I agree there is no debate. No one I know debates between Bon Scott and Brian Johnson. Like Van Halen, AC/DC have two seperate eras of great music. The Van Halen debate was relevant in '85, but it's now run its course, and both entities are respected for its own contributions. I'm interested in whether or not this tour will get off the ground, and if it does, if Dave sounds as good and remains the consumate showman he once was.

If Mike Anthony aint' there, I ain't there I ain't goin'! They threw him out on his behind after 30 years of service and 3 singers. Then they replace him on the website with Eddies little fat face kid on the first album cover and you want me to go see them??? I have been a long time fan for over 20 years. But I can't excuse this!

Hey Guitarman, Mike left Van Halen to pursue a band called Planet US. If Mike can play with other musicians then why not Ed, Al and Dave?? Get over it! Mike is wealthy because of Ed, Dave and Sams talents! You lose! Stay HOME ,leave the real PARTYING to the PRO'S!!!!!!!!

First of all, Scott Ian of Anthrax kicks ass. When I was working with Hirax back in the day we would check out the Thrax at all the cool clubs and party once in awhile with these guys. Anyway, I agree with Scott, it is good to have the Kings back with Roth on the horn. I had the opportunity to meet Eddie Van Halen at a SuperMarket back in the ealry 90's in Studio City, and he is one of the most down to earth guys I ever met. No ego what so ever! He is in my opinion, in the top 5 guitarist of all time. Kick ass!
