too bad nikki sixx, just like tommy lee , found that money is more important that substance. like sounding just like nickleback and selling a few records is better than ripping sh** like he wrote in the 80's and being himself. like hes f***ing broke.....

AILD's new cd is pretty good, they kinda crossed a few genres on the disc, but overall a good buy. I like the thrash elements they have added to their sound.

They do have a few songs that are thrash, but they AREN'T a thrash band. Within Destuction sounds like Slayer almost, and a couple other songs that are thrashy. They just blended elements, that's all. They're probably the only good metalcore band out there.

im sick of these a$$holes who are so proud of their metal that if someone says AILD has a thrash sound they jump down your throat. its f***ing ridiculous. fact is, they do have a lot of thrash sound, so get over it.

Not true, there are way better metalcore bands than AILD. Unearth are way the f*** better than AILD, seriously they absolutly destroy AILD, and Unearth are the ones with actual thrash elements in their music not AILD. Also saying that AILD sound like Slayer is just plain stupid.

So what does everyone think about AILD touring w/ all that remains.... I think its sick, going to see them when they come to new york, and yeah I think they've added a little thrash into the mix and I approve.

I think the new AILD record is their best progression musically between albums that they've made yet, and it's only fitting to see that they have moved so many copies of their record already, and Unearth use to be good, until they completely changed their sound to sh**core metal. AILD is easily the only metalcore band worth listening and at least in my opinion, the best metal act out there today.

yo post 12, nobody gonna chill out. this site is full of people who get extremly p***ed when someone disagrees with them or likes a band they dont, and they feel like we have to hear them rant and rave and b*tch. seriously, post 4, nobody cares if you dont like this band or not, if you honestly think that people are gonna stop listening to AILD just because you say they suck, and aint thrash, well then ur f uckin stupid. and to all those who love to say " if u dont like this band.....or if you think this band is good.....then you dont know metal".....shut the f uck up and go kill urself cause ur a waste of air. when did u go to college and get a degree in metal music? who the hell are you to call someone else a poser? just because they like AILD, that makes them a poser? thats f uckin retarded. i call you a poser for being so damn dumb. get a life

Ya, everybody has to post on stupid Avenged Sevenfold news, keeping that sort of wasteful news as on of the top headlines just to say they suck. Heres an idea, post only on bands that you like so that way they stay near the top of the headlines & garbage gets filtered away.

And As I Lay Dying have impressed me very much. Them & Unearth both released some kick a$$ cds this year!

I think the whole point that Metalheads from this site get mad is because media keeps thinking they stepped into Metal and its like poison to our ears, we can't stand hearing people say this sounds like this. Metal fans like there music to been seen as art and not a "OMG this band is HOT" thing. If mtv and record companys stopped trying to "Tap" our music, people wouldnt be dissing your bands like AILD. Seriously its like calling your Metalcore bands Emo. I'm sure you guys hate hearing that. Basically theres 3 groups of Metalheads (but all united as one) Death,Thrash,Heavy (sorry if that pisses people off, its my opinion dont take it personally)..For those who need example... Death being like Amon Amarth, Thrash being like Exodus, Heavy being like BLS.... I'm not saying these people hate other genres but fans like these listen mostly to there favourite Metal genre and hearing people think there favourite band kinda sounds like your favourite genre... gets irritating. I know some people on this site go overboard, but there dumb sh**s, and if someone says your favourite band sucks we actually mean it's not our style. We're not saying its not brutal enough or anything, just not our cup of tea.. <;-- yea I know lame saying but it works.

Metallian, I mostly agree with you...except for your talk of genres. One of the reasons I love metal so much is because it's such a vast genre. From Progressive Metal to Death, it all varies too much to be put into 3 simple genres. Other then that, you're very very right, and people should defiantly listen to what you have to say. You're more then the average metal fan good sir.

As for AILD, I'm really not a big fan of them, but I'll see if I can borrow the CD from a friend or something. Never been a huge metalcore fan actually...

Its a very vast scene indeed. But I agree with post 18 Too vast to be put into 3 genres. AILD Sucks enough balls that I don't need to point that out. And we have the right to jump down anyones throat if so choose. Get over it.... wait what the Hell are we talking about here....?
