Firebox Announce Upcoming Fall Of The Leaf, Terhen, Depressed Mode Releases

Finland's Firebox Records has announced release dates for upcoming albums: Fall of the Leafe's "Aerolithe," Terhen's "Eyes Unfolded," and Depressed Mode's "Ghosts of Devotion."

Fall of the Leafe plays guitar driven, progressive atmospheric rock with a metallic edge. The band reserves the right to blend in any styles and influences without prior notice. Aerolithe is the 6th album from this well known Finnish band, who craft very personal, infectious harmonies in a very Scandinavian metal style. Vocalist Tuomas Tuominen has been voted as one of the top 3 metal vocalist in Finland, and Aerolithe shows the band taking a heavier and more straightforward approach than their previous albums. It was mastered by Svante Forsback at Charmakers, one of the top studios in Finland. Fall of the Leafe's "Aerolithe" will be released August 20th.

Following the more death/doom path, Tehren continue the brilliant quality of Finnish doom death as also displayed by acts like Skepticism, Shape of Despair, Swallow the Sun and many more. Featuring two female vocalists the overall vocal approach is still of the low-end male growl, and the band incorporate multiple other styles into their gloomy doom metal, produced by Risto Ylonen, and mastered by Svante Forsback on Charmakers. Terhen's "Eyes Unfolded" will be released August 20th.

Depressed Mode provide a very unique style of doom/death, difficult to compare to any other band, on their debut album Ghosts of Devotion. Featuring Natalie Koskinen (Shape of Despair) on vocals and including a doomy cover of Burzum's "Dunkelheit," in addition to the professionally crafted doom atmospheres should have quite a few doom and death fans enthralled. Depressed Mode's "Ghosts of Devotion" will be released September 17th.
