Clock Ticking Toward Rage Against The Machine Release, Secret Concert?
Billboard.com reports: A clock on Rage Against The Machine's official Web site has begun counting down to Aug. 24, presumably marking the date for a new release or an as-yet-unannounced concert, rumored to be held in East Troy, Wis. There is also speculation that the reunited band will issue either a live album taped during its late April set at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in Indio, Calif., or, less likely, a new studio effort.
Rage Against The Machine has not performed since Coachella, where the foursome played a 13-song headlining set featuring tracks like "Testify," "Bulls on Parade," "Guerilla Radio," "Sleep Now in the Fire" and "Killing in the Name."
The group will reactivate in late July for four shows as part of the Rock the Bells tour. What happens after that is anybody's guess, as Morello has a slate of dates on tap with his acoustic side project, the Nightwatchman.
"We're having a great time rehearing so the door is certainly open to playing more shows," Morello told Billboard last month. "It feels great in the room."

I really hope its for a tour or a new album which would probably bring a tour anyway
but I have to say this site is pretty slow on getting news, Ultimate-Guitar put this out several days ago, and the announcements about ozzfest are usually a week after the ozzfest site has already put it up
I hope they do anything. god damn they need to get active, they were a huge voice at their prime, and a GOOD *crosses fingers* re-unoin/tour/album will definatly help re-kindle some desire, and spark some new minds. RATM is possibly the most under-rated, under-appreciated bands of all time.
A new RATM studio album this summer would be the biggest, most well kept industry secret of the year. Though one can dream.
They've been generating more of a buzz than they were back in the late 90's....The press and fan response certainly eclipses most band reunions that come to mind.
I'd love a new RATM album in the twighlight of Dubbya's era. Seering stuff I bet.
It should be as fitting the self titles was for his dad, as well as EE and TBOLA were in the Clinton years.
