Yeah it sounds too rushed, too samey, too boring. The only track I vaguely liked was the instrumental near the end 'cause I liked the piano work. I thought that it was quite frankly really lazy work from a man who' written some good stuff in the past. After hearing the album, I REALLY hope that the movie thing turns out to be fake because it does NOT deserve it's own movie.
Let down again.
So many great albums, so varied...all potent until With Teeth. Pretty Hate Machine, Broken, Downward Spiral, The Fragile....Then one let down followed by another.
It's like this "dumb down for the grubby masses vibe" hits every great artist at some point.
I had to listen to some old NIN just to remind myself that Reznor made some impressive music once.
Now Playing: NIN - "Somewhat Damaged"
