Swedish Couple Told They Can't Name Baby 'Metallica'

A Swedish couple have been told that they may not call their six-month-old daughter ‘Metallica.’ Although baby Metallica Tomaro has been baptised, the Swedish National Tax Board have refused to register the name.

The baby’s mother Karolina, claimed that the name suited her daughter, adding "She's decisive and she knows what she wants."

The couple, who can not get a passport or personal ID for their daughter, have been backed by a court on the grounds a women in Sweden also has the middle name ‘Metallica.'

It's comforting to see Lars still has it in him 7 years after his Napster tantrum. All he would have to do is say "Thats fine", if he didn't have a problem with it. His and the rest of the band's silence is telling.
