I've bought my tickets to the Wembley gig and am really looking forward but a band should NEVER treat other countries more important than their own so yeah they should play some US gigs too.

Almost every good metal group spends the majority of their time outside the states. The market here is dead. We live in an emo, hip-hop culture. Metal has never been infected in Europe like it has here. Also, alot of new markets are opening up all over the world thanx to the internet and globalism. The glory dayz are all but gone 4 us.

I think they're embarrased to play the US or something. They are from here but they barely ever f***ing tour here and they play everywhere else. Regardless of what they've sounded like in the past years I want to see them live because I haven't yet.

dont worry about seeing them live. get an old video or something. they suck live now. they play crappy sets, and they slow down old songs because they arent good enough to play fast anymore.

Please, the metal market in the US is far from dead. That's why you see more and more big tours and touring fests popping up. The reason everyone goes to Europe is because there are a number of huge one-off festivals. The audience is massive and the commitments are small for each band, as opposed to something like Ozzfest in which they've got to commit to the whole tour as well as a bunch of rules set up by the fest. (see Cradle of Filth's comments on the interview here at MU)

here we have the american argument:

"man, they don't tour the usa anymore. they sold out."

the european response:

"who f***ing cares, METALLICA!!!!!!!"

just bringing in some perspective.

they can still rock... Robert has brought a new vibe to the group. I don't think they'll let us down with this album. They should have more pride in their work. They will tour the US plenty once the album releases...whenever that may be!
