Lamb of God and Lordi will perform on the main stage with Ozzy Osbourne, while Hatebreed will headline OZZFEST 2007's reliably down and dirty second stage with Mondo Generator, Ankla, Circus Diablo, Nile and The Showdown. These are only the first artists who have stepped forward to be part of this ground-breaking touring extravaganza, with more artists to be announced in the coming weeks for the main and second stages.

The 24-city OZZFEST will now launch July 12 in Seattle, WA at the White River Amphitheatre. The tour was originally announced to start July 7 in Southern California but had to be moved to accommodate the extension of OZZY's European tour. OZZFEST 2007 will also hit Seattle, WA, George, WA, Sacramento, CA, Mountain View, CA, Devore, CA, Phoenix, AZ, Albuquerque, NM, Denver, CO, Kansas City, MO, Dallas, TX, San Antonio, TX, St. Louis, MO, Columbus, OH, Tinley Park, IL, East Troy, WI, Indianapolis, IN, Holmdel, NJ, Hartford, CT, Boston, MA, Philadelphia, PA, Pittsburgh, PA, Detroit, MI, Charlotte, NC and West Palm Beach, FL.

As OZZFEST's founder and namesake, OZZY will make his triumphant return to the headlining position on this year's mainstage after surprising fans last year by performing on the second stage at a handful of dates. Audiences can expect the Prince of Darkness to unveil new songs from his forthcoming studio album (release date TBA), OZZY's first disc of new material since 2001.

To gain entry into this year's OZZFEST, fans will go to www.ozzfest.com or www.livenation.com to find links that will direct them to special sponsor sites where tickets can be secured. Select sponsors will have a unique opportunity to engage fans one-on-one utilizing one of music's best known brands. Tickets will be available for download on June 12. Stay tuned to www.ozzfest.com and www.livenation.com in the coming weeks for more ticketing information.

Artist quotes:

D. Randall, vocalist, Lamb of God: "OZZFEST! OZZFEST!" When we left Ozzfest three years ago, that was a mantra that burned itself into our collective subconscious, one that we repeat to this day in an almost autistic manner. To know once the power, the glory, the sheer brutality of the parking lot circus stupidity that is OzzFest is to be destined to repeat it. The fangs are out- our souls (and livers) needed three years to recover from the last run, but we are back and couldn't be more excited! BUHWHUUURHHH! OZZFEST? Bring it on! This time we have age and wis(dumb) on our side- be warned. It will be OVER this summer."

Jamey Jasta, lead singer of Hatebreed: "We are absolutely honored and beyond excited to be the sole headliner of the Ozzfest 2007 Second Stage. We had a great time on the Main Stage last year but it was obvious that our fans wanted to see us in the setting that they know and love. Having co-headlined the second stage twice in the past, once with Down in 2002 and again with Slipknot in 2004, it's a great achievement for us to now be able to close the show on the second stage and truly make Ozzfest history with our fifth appearance on the world's best tour. We can't wait to demolish the US once again, spending another crazy summer with Ozzy and his traveling circus of metal mayhem!!!! See you on the road!"

Mr. Lordi, Lordi: "It is a great honour for us to be on OzzFest and obviously it's gonna be a great opportunity for us to show the people in the U.S. what we can do.or what they think we can do. [laughs] My best friend is a huge Ozzy fan he's really jealous of the whole thing. I'm gonna try and remember to pick him up an OzzFest t-shirt when we return to Finland. For us the idea of playing OzzFest is still hard to believe. I'll believe it when we're there."

Stay tuned for further information about ticket distribution.

Who the F is Lordi? Are they that European Gwar band?

I'm not a Nile fan, but I think they should have a set slot. They shouldn't be on the rotating schedule, they've been around for quite a while.

They need to get God Forbid on this tour. I don't think Machine Head or Sevendust will do it, but that'd be cool too.

Hey post 4, they can't get everyone. when you make your own tour then you can try to get them. and if you do I'll be there to support it! lol But this guy at the Sevendust concert was trying to talk to me about Lordi and just be what he was saying they sound real f***ed up. He said the band War meets somebody else, can't remember who. But not looking forward to them. But I'm happy with Lamb of God, Hatebreed, and Ankla so far!!! Looking forward to hearing more of the line-up and I'm glad we finally found out SOMETHING!!!

The 2007 U.S. Ozzfest Tour is one of the better tours in ozzfest history. If you look at the past 4 years, the lineup has not been as solid as it originally was, dating from the start in early 1990's to 2001. They had lineups that would kill the 04 and 05 lineups. The best tour lineup I have seen in a while was back in 1999, with headliners Sabbath, Zombie, Deftones, Slayer, Primus, S.O.A.D. and Godsmack. That is a hell of a Main stage.

I am looking forward to seeing Lamb of God in Pittsburgh. A lot.

I'm thinking about going. I've definitely seen worse concert lineups. With the bands that I haven't seen yet(Nile, Lordi) and the ones that are a blast to see (LoG, Hatebreed) it's almost worth it now. ProgPower is still going to be a FAR better show, but depending on when the better bands go on I just might be there.

Now Playing:"Forgotten(Lost Angels)" from LoG

Post 33, if you really felt you were wasting your money on going then don't f***ing go. No one would miss you there. And guitargod, there are probably going to be more unknown bands performing and maybe you should get your ears out of just the mainsteam metal and listen to some bands that are trying to survive in this business. Ankla is a very awesome band and I saw them live and got their CD and they are f***ing awesome! Haven't heard some of the other bands right now but I'm on slow internet so I can't check them out yet. But I will in a few days. Isn't The Showdown a hardcore band?

Wow, for being free, this is almost worth every penny. Nile is the only interesting band they've booked so far. Is anyone really wanting to see Hatebreed at Ozzfest AGAIN? It gets old after two or three years. For a tour that prides itself on introducing up and coming bands, this is really getting repeditive. And my point will count tenfold if the next main stage band announced is Black Label Society. I'm hoping the lineup does a complete 180 when they announce the rest of the bands.

Bottom line: I'd rather pay money and go to an awesome show than waste my time and pay 6 bucks for a bottled water or beer at an unimpressive show like this one.

Hatebreed should co-headline the sounds of the underground or something! What about Chimaira, COB, Arch enemy, Amon Amarth, Shadows fall, Opeth, or any other kickass band!

I am already seeing Lamb of God in April, so seeing them again for Ozzfest is literally going to make 2007 the best year ever. I am mad they're at the main stage though. It's so much more boring on the main stage. All the hardcore fans are up front moshing and crowd surfing and through their fists in the air and everyone is mixed together. I seriously have never had as much fun as I have getting into the thick of things during the 2nd stage at Ozzfest. So to see my favorite band miss the 2nd stage, when I would love more than anything to see them close the 2nd stage out will be a disappointment.

What would be the point of putting 3 Inches of Blood in Hatebreed's position? They'd be up higher but they don't have nearly as large of a fanbase as them. And if you've seen them live you know that they have a great prescence on stage. they were much better in an indoor place than at ozzfest's main stage last year.

He isn't as interested in Slipknot because he would rather be the Star he is in Stone Sour where he has compete control of his band, he writes all the lyrics, and is very versatile in the music of Stone Sour. i heard that Corey and Jim want to do another Stone Sour CD before returning to Slipknot. Slipknot made Corey Taylor, but he is really his original and true self in Stone Sour. While Corey was in Slipknot he was heavy into alcohol in between Stone Sour's Self Titled and Slipknot's Vol 3 he dopped the alcoholism completly, in 2005 he reunited with his father, and his children are growing older. Many of the other band members of Slipknot have side bands also. In 2008 Slipknot will hopefully reform as scheduled, put a new reocrd out early 2009 (Hopefully its as brutal as there past stuff) but then i think they will be done. I just feel that the balance is shifted, both Bands are excelent and i hope Corey can make them both work

i agree that it will be a group decision, but if corey leaves (with or without jim) slipknot will be done, that roll of lead vocals of slipknot is just too large of a role to fill, i know slipknot wants to go out on there terms on top, they aren't going to be hanging around too long after their time has passed. All 9 members have been together since 1997 with no line up changes. It would be great if they stayed another 10 years with 3 albums.
