Otep Not Dropped By Label?
Band Photo: Otep (?)
According to front-woman Otep Shamaya the band has not received the official word from Capitol stating they are in fact dropped from their label. It was previously reported that less than two weeks before the scheduled release of their new album 'The Ascension', Otep were among the first acts dropped due to the merger between Capitol and Virgin Records. "The Ascension" is still delayed indefinitely for unspecified reasons.
Otep will hit the road with Static-X later this month.

how many people actually like Otep? i'm betting not many. if i'm their record label, as soon as i merge i'm burning their contract and drenching the ashes in my own urine. in other news. the new Haste the Day CD is surprisingly really well put together. i'd go for that one over Otep.
How dare u people say Otep sucks. I hope they get signed if they get dropped and that is if they get dropped. Otep is a creative genius. Taking real life problems that every American is facing, or has faced and putting it into their lyrics is perfect. So what u don't agree with their views but hey that is why we live in America. The right to disagree. Can't wait for the album to come out.
