Mekong Delta Announce New Singer

Legendary German progressive thrash outfit MEKONG DELTA has recruited Leo Szpigiel (ANGEL DUST, CROWS, SCANNER, DUKE) to sing on its upcoming "comeback" album. MEKONG DELTA guitarist Peter Sjöberg (also known as Peter Lake from THEORY IN PRACTICE) recently finished recording the guitar parts for the CD, which is expected to include an adaptation of the classical piece "Allegro" from the 10th symphony by Dimitri Schostakovich. The final vocal arrangements are now being fine-tuned and next week the group will begin laying down the vocal tracks.

MEKONG DELTA's current lineup is completed by drummer Uli Kusch (ex-MASTERPLAN, HELLOWEEN).

Zardoz Music in 2005 released a two-CD, 22-song compilation, entitled "The Principle of Doubt", containing selections from various MEKONG DELTA albums.

Wow this sounds cool, I'd love to hear MD with some good production, their earlier albums had alot of promise but were plagued with that muddy sound the not so fortunate thrash bands always had.
