The Minor Times Give Another Studio Update, Photos and Lyrics

Pennsylvania's THE MINOR TIMES has offered another update from the studio, where the band is recording its follow-up to 2005's 'Making Enemies' with producer Vince Ratti at Skylight Studio. 'Summer of Wolves,' as it has been dubbed, will see a spring 2007 release through Prosthetic Records and the band has already revealed a handful of song titles, including "This Is The Blues," "Blackhole Living," "Van Zant," "Bringing In The Suit" and "+ + +." .

Guitarist Brian Medlin offers an update on the state of recording: "Hello! We're back with another update from the studio. We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. We've been very busy, as you can imagine. Before I get to some pictures, I want to give you some more lyrics to 3 other new songs. Also, http://www.theminortimes.com is finally fixed. Check out the SHOWS section, and come see our first performance since August.

"Casket City Lights" lyrics:

So this is where bad habits go to die?
'Strung out on their knees in some fucked up alley'
Yeah, that's the line, right?
And you're the right girl to ask about lines, right?
So old friend: meet me on the fire escape Cause I've seen enough of this doomsday culture to last through the next five summer's cold wars.
I want to see all of your rows of teeth.
And who can suck the most blood
Impress me.
Impress me.
No, you can never have enough of the masses scared to death of your wrath.
Nobody's on the hook but somebody's gotta hang.
Twist in the wind.

"+ + + " lyrics:

Turn up the fucking static
Cause the radio says we're doomed and I pray to god its right.
Yeah, I've got enough built up character to kill anyone's good time.
And are you catching these big black regret bombs that I'm putting down?
Cause you should be.
Say it with me
Have you had enough?
Give me a beat for this death march.
Wrap it up tight, it wasted potential.
Turn the cameras off.
Turn the cameras off if you've got enough.
When did this new black become the new black?
I've had enough.
So turn me off.
Turn it up.
Turn up the static.

"Disappear Here" lyrics:

Ten feet deep by ten feet wide.
I'm putting this year in the fucking ground tonight.
Because they're coming around again with their questions and clipboards; Their list of names.
And they all end in the foundations of the latest superhighway's interchange.
I can change.
Someone make themselves useful and hold my tongue.
Hold your breath.
Close your eyes.
Count to ten.
And don't you ever put your junkie hands on me again.
And when the ground sinks just like our eyes You'll find your answers.
Ten feet deep by ten feet wide.
You'll find out why our company keeps the best tonight.
Tonight, the city's only burning.
Don't let it bring you down.
Hold your breath
See you in the ground.
Door's locked.
Phone's off.
And no one's getting inside until I get out from under this life of backhanded upsides.
Ten feet deep by ten feet wide tonight.

The drums are complete, so it's time for bass and guitars. Setting up the amps/mics:

Job well done:

We are currently finishing up the vocals. Brendan didn't want any pictures taken because
a) he has not shaved since we started recording
b) he tracks with a sock tied around his head
