Withering Part Ways With Vocalist and Bassist

Finnish melodic death/doom metallers WITHERING has parted ways with vocalist Lasse and bassist Ville. "The chemistry in the band has been more or less questionable for quite a while now," reads a posting on the group's web site. "The decision was made in mutual understanding and WITHERING will continue as a three-piece act for now. This lineup is without a doubt the most creative in our history. There will be a day for a new vocalist and a new bass player, but we are in no hurry to look for more musicians right now."

WITHERING released its debut album, "Gospel of Madness", in 2004 through Firebox Records. The CD was recorded at Tico Tico Studio by Ahti Kortelainen and was mastered at Finnvox studio. A four-song promotional EP was completed in September 2005 but was apparently never officially released.
