Now to post 21, they are predictable? And that must be why every album is way different, and how alot of you love the first two albums and hate the rest! If they all sounded the same that wouldnt be the case. They are one of the most unpredictable bands of our time, your telling me that when KORNs first album come out you saw them doing an acoustic cd 12 years later? Give me a break, use your brain or dont post, if you hate them i dont care, but dont just make sh** up!

actually dude, I agree with you about the bass 100%. But the guitar riffs. no. I've gotten guitar tabs in my GuitarWorld and GuitarOne and Korn's sh** is not hard. I'm a guitarist also and the sh** is easy. My friend was able to play a whole song of theirs when he was playing guitar for a year and got a 7-string. Their drummer is just an average drummer. There are so many better guitarists and drummers in other bands and they're not great. I'm not gonna comment on Davis because everybody has a different stance on that. But Fieldy is a good player. But if you wanna talk about good guitarists look at real metal bands. "so ya f*** OFF!"

Who here honestly believes this has any shot of working?

Alice In Chains and Nirvana pulled it off (well I might add, and I'm not a big fan) but thier sound was so easy to strip down....

Trying to imagine those early era korn guitar licks and slap bass on acoustic instruments with Davis's vocals....

It's one of those things alot of people would like to see actually fly under it's own power but everyone knows better....

I just don't think it's possible....I've been wrong before though...
I lost all faith in Korn in 1999, I don't expect them to change my opinion now.

They better pick their songs carefully....Playing "Y'all Wanna Single" in that kind of setting could derail how seriously the remaining fans take this band.

Korn is amazing and their music has gotten me through some tough sh** in my life. Also you do not have to rap to be considered a Nu Metal band. You sound like a retarded 5th grader.
Korn holds a place in metal that can't be argued. Are they the best or even in the top level of metal bands, probably not. They lost a little when they kept pumping out albums that sounded alike. Like I said before, I can't wait to see how they pull off that deep "low end" bass sound acoustically. Should be interesting.

Ah, the nu-metal question once again. Heres my take on it.

Nu-metal bands = Korn, Disturbed, Adema, Coal Chamber, Kittie, Flaw, Cold, Papa Roach, POD, Linkin Park, Crazy Town, Kottonmouth Kings, Limpbizkit etc....Though the last six are more touted as rap-metal, rap-rock or rap-core.

Mannerism of the genre: Heavy emphasis on hip-hop bass and drum beats, down tuned guitars (often times 7 string guitars, 5 and 6 string bass), angsty lyrics, vocals that include rapping, screaming and clean crooning that is equal part anguish and rage....

Korn really set the groundwork for this genre with their first two records....every band that followed put their own (more or less original) spin on it.

Bands that used aspects of nu-metal but didn't fully define it or expanded upon the genre include: Mudvayne, Slipknot, Deftones, Sevendust and SOAD....They all still exist, (to some extent) and sold more records over the long haul than most of the nu-metal and rap-metal set are today.

I don't hate Korn....I don't like them a whole lot.....good luck with this because I'm really interested in what it's gonna sound like.

Whoever said that fieldy is the best bass player ever needs to wake up....I know that's your opinion but I think you need to listen to other bands besides Korn

coco all you know how to do is sound like an ignorant piece of sh** everytime you come around same with your f*** buddy korndogg. none of you ever throw anything significant into the converstion and babble like middle schoolers. how many times do we have to say this to clarify korn is NOT metal. nu-metal yes but that isnt close to the real definition of metal just as in remember metal's explanation, in fact the word metal should be taken off that subgenre alltogether, its a misleading term because many of the bands under it are nothing close to heavy or are truly influenced an acceptable form of heavy music.

For all you Korn fans (or other interested listeners), don't worry at all about Korn's sound translated to this acoustic performance. In fact you should be looking forward to it. There are a few surprises in store for you.

There are many acoustic instruments you may not know of that can that actually replicate and enhance the classic Korn sound. And you may hear them on this album. You may even enjoy these versions of their tunes better than the originals.

With regards to your comments about Fieldy being the best bassist in the world, speaking as an experienced bassist, yes Fieldy is good and I think he's very creative too, I love the sound he gets BUT Les Claypool, Geddy Lee, Burke Shelley, Norman Watt Roy are all superior. As I said, I like Korn and especially Fieldys sound but he really isn't the best bassist in the world. Its just plain ignorant to claim that just because they're your favourite band. Example, Fozzy are my favourite band (now I await everyone takin the piss outt me lol) but if I said Chris Jericho was the best singer in the world I'd be talking bollocks.

Hey Oz...I never knew you were a Fozzy fan..??? I was quite surprised when I first heard them...I was expecting it to be as fake as wrestling..But actually Jericho does a pretty decent job...Not that he is the greatest singer out there..but there are worse.. And its not like Stuck Mojo was the biggest band in the world...but the two of them together as Fozzy worked out well..

Yep. Seen them four times as they come to the UK often and they ALWAYS deliver and I have more fun than anything else whenever I see them. That's why they're my favourite band 'cause as much as I love going to say an Anthrax show and getting caught in a mosh pit, I prefer shows where the band cracks jokes and generally makes sure that the audience are having as much fun as possible and Fozzy always deliver that. Skindred are alot like that too but with more pits.
