Giant Squid Cancels All Shows

Giant Squid has cancelled all upcoming shows, including their November tour, in addition to tentative dates slated for February. Specific reasons behind the move haven't been enumerated. Rather, the following statement has been issued:

"The timing of this is heartbreaking for us on many, many levels, but due to recent catastrophic events in our private lives, the band can not function as normal to make it through these gigs. Please understand how tragic this is for us to have to cancel these great shows coming up with some fantastic bands whom we were sincerely looking forward to meeting and getting to know... We apologize immensely to the fans, the clubs, and the other bands."

giant squid is the sickest doom metal band on the planet right now. they are like a slowed down version of mastadon w/ black metal textures in their tunes...you should check them out, but you gotta be in the mood for slow and low metal.
