I really like Nonpoints version of In The Air Tonight. It's actually my favorite song on their album Recoil. lol But I am surprised that they have so many mainstream bands on one concert and not really any underground or lesser known bands. I know a lot of people will hate this tour too.
yeah, they could have done a lot better with this lineup. this is almost a smaller repeat of family values, though i would have rather seen family values than this sh**ty tour. nonpoint is one of the worst live bands ever. i went to one of thier shows like a year ago and they actually told people not to mosh, and i dont even wanna talk about the other 3 bands, i could go on all day about how much monster c*** they handle.
Actually I just saw Nonpoint in August and they kicked ass! I was never their biggets fan but I got the tickets for free. Plus I got to see Silent Civilian and Ankla who both kicked ass. But I enjoyed the show. Plus, it was free! Can't go wrong with a show...unless it's emo! lol
I never thought about that. All of the bands on this tour are focused mainly on the frontman/woman. None of these bands really have the musicians that stick out that much. I'm not saying that they're bad musicians because there are some good ones and some I know nothing about. But they should work on that. I know Disturbed is trying to do that which is a good thing by adding the solos and Stone Sour has/had some. So the more power to them if they can try to step it up more.
booo!!!!!!!!!! what a sh**ty lineup, sounds like i should be killing myself about now...
if disturbed would go back in a time machine back to their first cd the world would be safe
and stone sour... why did corey taylor have to go from maggot to fa**ot in such a hurry?
Talk about all those Nu-metal bashing by the...so called "METALHEADS". Who...happen to like tha sh**ty band we all know as Slayer, but nevermind.
I think i disrespect a band, when i mention "SLAYER" in their thread, right? Yeah i do think so.
PP i'm glad you like stone sour, but nobody cares, ok? hmmmmm.
But moving on, you guys all know who nonpoint is right? group of wiggers fronted by a puerto rican sh**mouthed b**** who raps. Garbage.
i am a disturbed fan, i have enjoyed their evolution from the sickness to their latest release. i agree with opethsuck, they are starting to ad more quality to their music and you can see that is their latest album, where as the sickness could get lost in the sea of nu-metal by non fans, the latest album stands out with some decent solos and guitar work. def. an improvement if you ask me.
stone sour is pretty good, they have some good songs. flyleaf has a couple good songs and the vocalist has a real good voice. nonpoint sucks though, as does anti-slayer.
you are all f**kin retarded.slipknot & stone sour kick ass, period.corey taylor has major creativity & it all doesn't have to be hard to be good.don't diss a guy that puts all he has into many different venues of music.not many people can kick it in both aspects of the music he (along with the other members) performs.know more about what you are talking about before you go making a total a$$ out of yourself with the sh*t that comes out of your mouth.
Disturbed is a good band. I actually haven't gotten their last two albums but what I hear I like. And I've seen them 3 times. Stone Sour rocks the socks. I agree with deez nutz. Of course it's not Slipknot and that's why the band was formed, to create some new different stuff. Seen them once. And I've seriously seen Nonpoint about 9 times and each time it has been a great experience. Always a fun energetic show. As for the not moshing thing, that never happened when I saw them. Nonpoint's albums though have been a hilly ride. First album awesome. Second good. Third not so good. Fourth a good back to the roots album. The independent lable probably helped. And oh sh*t, Phil Collins just came on my Ipod.
i take that back, im a retard. slipknot was formed before stone sour, but my point was that stone sour wasnt formed to give corey taylor a new musical outlet. taylor was one of the founders of stone sour in '92 and didnt join with slipknot until '97. for peats sake, stone sour was just a des moines bar band until slipknot blew up. ive got both stone sour demos, which i think are better than both of their cds, and have seen them live many times.
Yeah, someone didn't catch on that I was using the name as a JOKE. I could have been like somkesalot420 or Metal Fist Your Face, but I'm not retarded. And please don't talk as if your superior or that this site is. Terminator, what I was saying was that he used Stone Sour now to show his other musical abilities. Being in a huge metal band allowed him to take Stone Sour as a side project band and make it something big. Because around the time "Iowa" came out, all you started to hear about was his side project. Then within the next year they had an album out. I don't know sh*t about their demos, but do they not have several of the originals on their full lengths?
Some of you guys need to grow up. Music is as diverse as the countries that we live in. Which is the reason why the bands that you don't like, are still making hits, because other people love them. You guys don't need to trash talk because a band is putting out music that they wat to put out. Also, you guys need to start learning to respect other peoples tastes in music otherwise you arent going to get very far. Not everyone has the same taste that you do.
My fiance and I will be attended this concert. :)
Hey MommaLuna and Scott Stapp you should learn who you're talking to before you make your comment. Because I do respect peoples opinions and I know some other people on this site are the same way. I am open to lots of music I just don't like country, punk, and emo.
Oh and on topic, another tour that isn't coming to Chicago!!! It says it on this thread but they're actually going to a place that's hours away from Chicago in Peoria (where Mudvayne is from). Man a lot of booking agents suck a$$ lately! I wanna know why a lot of artists are not coming to CHICAGO
once again, zyklon man, go the f*** away if you are contributing nothing and get a damn life.
anyways, on the slipoknot/stone sour issue. they formed close to the same time and slipknot beat stone sour in a local battle of the bands, causing taylor to move to slipknot, then returning later to his old band to realease a record after he had gained some credibility with slipknot.
