The Dillinger Escape Plan Seeks Band Photos

THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN has issued the following update:

"We are looking for photos from about mid-2003 til now. If you have any and would like to help, please send them to DillingerPhotos@yahoo.com. If they are live shots please include the date and the name of the club. If you have them hosted on some kind of site like photobucket, just send the web address and we can pull them off of there. Any other kind of memorabilia you might have, like a setlist from a show or anything you may have, feel free to take a picture of that and send it as well. Rough deadline for everything to be in in order for them to be used for what we are using them for is around the end of September. Thanks in advance to everyone who helps out."

THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN recently released a digital-only EP, entitled "Plagiarism". The EP features "Unretrofied" (from "Miss Machine"), interpretations of NINE INCH NAILS' "Wish", MASSIVE ATTACK's "Angel", SOUNDGARDEN's "Jesus Christ Pose" and JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE's "Like I Love You", as well as previously unreleased live material. Many of these covers have been heard during the band's live sets over the past several years but remained unrecorded until this EP. "Plagiarism" is available exclusively via iTunes.

Plagiarism is a great idea, but the band could have done it better I think, and this is from a fan who goes all the way back to Calculating from when it was still new.

I am looking forward to this new one.

Word is that it's supposed to be their fasted most technical album yet, I guess they're throwing the hardcore fans a bone if they were let down by "Sleeping Giants" and "Unretrofied"...

Hell, I like their melody oriented stuff and their neckbreaking techfest math-core.

Heh, didn't notice this post till now deathmetalrules420

I've heard the Timberlake cover...
It's essentially my least favorite song of theirs....I've noticed alot of respected muscians have this thing for Justin Timberlakes solo sh**...and I simply don't understand it.

Anyway, "Like I Love You" is crap....despite a pretty cool guitar solo.....Maybe it's the band telling the fans "We'll do whatever we like and defy your expectations if we feel like it..."

Either way this is the way I like to see DEP.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-lxwlgyhhA
