no disrespect to deicide, cause they've been around for a long time and there's something to be said for that, but I LUV SLAYER is definitely right.....nile, behemoth, decapitated, hate eternal, suffo....they all blow deicide away, but if it wasnt for bands like deicide (cannibal, and morbid) those bands might not be around today.

Compared with Nile, Behemoth, and the like it's true that Deicide doesn't stand out other than the fact that they're Deicide, but that's because you're comparing them to the best of the best (and I don't think Corpse's new album 'Kill' is as good as this album). Not to mention that you can't understand Karl Sanders either. Few Death Metal sounds like more than a demon burping, it's just a fact of metal life. Compare Deicide to most 'popular' bands out there today, and you'll see my point. This album still f**king rocks, and if you don't believe me, you can always go outside and play a game of hide and go f**k yourself.

Personally, I prefer Deicide to Cannibal Corpse. As much as I enjoy me some death metal, the Corpse just aren't understandable enough for me. When every word becomes so much a growl it stops becoming a word, I get slightly disinterested.

i feel like the leads on the new album are out of place for deicide....even though there new guitarists are way better than the hoffmans they are almost trying to do too much. and InLeagueWithSatan no one was comparing deicide w/ the best of the best. that wouldnt be fair considering they have never been and never will be in that class. also, by the way karl sanders does minimal vocals on nile albums, its mostly dallas toler-wade. glen benton is one of the worst death metal vocalists out there and he always has been. deicide is death metal by the numbers and if you dont believe you can go play the little game you mentioned above p***y.
