Saw Carpathian / 36 Crazyfists / Atreyu / 3 yesterday at the Roundhouse, Sydney NSW; my conclusion.
Carpathian - Sent the crowd wild, the best start possible with an aussie band and an amazing amount of energy
3 - They were up next, being an unknown band, they weren't too popular, but all knew their instruments back to front and knew how to use them. I liked them
36 Crazyfist - These guys are performers. They got the crowd involved, got someone from the crowd up to sing, made a circle of death as big as the round house and pretty much sent the crowd on the ride of a life, looking forward to the band, that most had come to see.
Atreyu - Suck live. Thats all i have to say. The crowd still went wild because it was Atreyu, and they were the last band of the night, moshing it was painful and people were agro. There was no talking to the crowd, all they said was thanks, and did an encore but that was to be expected. Dave(?) can sing, he can drum to. But he can't do them both at the same time. The only dissapointment of the night.
Definitely worth it, but not for Atreyu.
36C and Atreyu were the ones I'd have figured would fall through on this. I knew Carp were awesome, and I didn't have a clue about 3. Good to hear that even if 36C's music isn't all that great they still know how to incite a good night in a crowd; that's half the game, really.

any of those Carpathian + IKTPQ shows would definitely be worth seeing.
