British extreme metallers CRADLE OF FILTH have begun mixing their new album, "Thornography", at Backstage Studios in Derbyshire, England with producer Andy Sneap (MACHINE HEAD, SKINLAB, NEVERMORE). And what would a CRADLE OF FILTHrecord be without a visit from one Doug Bradley — a.k.a. "Hellraiser"'s chief Cenobite, Pinhead? Having already put his narrative stamp on such older CRADLE OF FILTH classics as "Her Ghost in the Fog" and "Swansong for a Raven".

"Thornography" is scheduled for release on September 19 via Roadrunner Records. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Libertina Grim", "Tonight in Flames", "Cemetery and Sundown", "I Am the Thorn", "The Byronic Man" (featuring guest vocals from H.I.M.'s Ville Valo) and "Temptation".

Im hoping that this album will be a little better than Nymphetamine, especially vocal-wise, im kinda anxious to see how they will do the song with Ville Valo, im guessing it'll be somewhere around sounding like how Mr.Crowley sounded....*sigh*

If anything, Ville Vallo's vocals will make COF's songs bearable to listen to.

I cannot wait for this album to make love to my ears! Cradle are one of my most loved bands. And i really love H.I.M as well. I believe this song could work! Also, Ville Valo is not emo. H.I.M have been around longer than the term "emo" even came into use. Their music is just softer than metal, but that doesnt make them emo. I think that if Cradle of Filth are willing to try new things you should support them and their creativity! Ville Valo has a really beautiful voice and even though H.I.M are of a slightly softer side of music, they still have a certain sweet darkness to them that i think, could easily compliment the likes of Cradle. So do not judge something before you have even had the chance to hear it and keep an open mind! PS: Ville Valo is not queer either. He has a fiance for starters! Even if he was, you shouldnt let that dampen your view of someone...XoX Sweet Decadence

4 those who actually think h.i.m. is metal get a reality check any band that even considers putting a heart on their logo is emo. why cradle of filth decided to allow a homo guy on their albums only because dani met bam margera the most pathetic excuse 4 a metal-head ever 4 the love of god i see prepy chicks wearing bam shirts and topping that i he has a show on mtv i c no metal heads on mtv not even on headbangers ball cus mtv is now making room 4 more emo i hope that ville only gets 1 line better yet they cut him (get it) out of the album

I agree wit sweet decadance, ville valo is cool...n ya i think some of his music is kinda emo, like for example that join me in death track, but ville has way more talent than that so don't let his softer side get the better of you...he isn't homo, he's bi, and so am i so yea...lol...i'm sure the track will be good, i mean its still got the rest of CoF in right, you have to respect that they are their own band and will do duets or whatever with you they want...so smile be happy and eat tuna...and also, drop the mean act against ville, his old stuff is quite good.

Yeah, Cradle can do what ever the hell they want to do, Hopefully The Byronic Man is great song, as are all of other COF works. I thnk it was Paul A., that said it would somewhat like the song, Nyphetamine, and quite girly.lol.,But i trust COF and do belive that they are going to release another masterpiece. Can't wait.
