Megadeth Heading Overseas To Record New Album

MEGADETH drummer Shawn Drover has posted the following message in the "Forums" section of the band's official web site:
"So here we are back In L.A. going over some last-minute 'fine-tuning,' as it were, of most of these new songs, before we head overseas next week to commence recording. Speaking for myself, this is going to be a fun trip — I am looking forword to this entire studio experience and all that goes along with it. It's always cool to be involved in something creative."
MEGADETH are scheduled to enter the studio on April 19 to begin recording the follow-up to 2004's "The System Has Failed", which has sold more than 175,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The group, who were most recently signed to Sanctuary Records, were joined by bassist James Lomenzo (ex-BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, WHITE LION) in February following the departure of James MacDonough (ex-ICED EARTH).

lol, yeah, he was in White Lion...but he redeemed himself in my eyes by being a part of Black Label Society, even if he has parted ways with them. gotta love BLS. Big part to fill for him though, being Megadeth's bassist. we'll see how well he does there, i suppose.
