"some music was meant to stay underground..."

Dead Weight Signs with Double Or Nothing Records

Formed as a side project by members of Miami hardcore luminaries All Hell Breaks Loose in 2004 by vocalist Alex and guitarist Chad, Dead Weight set out to with the simple objective of proving that music still takes precedence over an image or a gimmick. Drawing on influences ranging from Buried Alive to Converge and Crowbar, Dead Weight plays a punishing, raw blend of heavy hardcore in a way not often found in today's hardcore scene. After recording a tremendously popular demo and playing many high profile shows, Dead Weight has arrived with their debut full length CD "We've Seen Better Days."

Recorded at Southern Noise studios in Miami, Florida by Jonathan Nunez (Torche, Donnybrook, Kids Like Us), "We've Seen Better Days" will hit stores on June 6th, 2006 on Double or Nothing Records. Artwork for the release was handled by Deadhorse Inc (Evergreen Terrace, On Broken Wings, Bury Your Dead).

The track "Parasite" has also been posted on the all new Double or Nothing website as a small taste of thing to come. Expect more tracks to surface in the coming weeks and news of summer touring as well.
