Scott Weiland Says Axl Rose Is A "Fat, Botox-Faced, Wig-Wearin' F*ck"

VELVET REVOLVER/ex-STONE TEMPLE PILOTS frontman Scott Weiland has slammed GUNS N' ROSES singer Axl Rose for his comments in a recent press release where he claimed that in October of 2005, VELVET REVOLVER/ex-GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Slash visited Axl's house at 5:30 one morning and said he wanted to "end the war" with Rose. Rose alleged that Slash tore into his current bandmates in VELVET REVOLVER, calling singer Weiland a "fraud," saying that he "hates" drummer Matt Sorum and describing bassist Duff McKagan as "spineless."

The press release stated, "It would have been Axl's preference to resolve disputes with Slash and Duff in private...However, Axl could no longer sit quietly and allow the continuing dissemination of falsehoods and half-truths by his former bandmates."

Responding to Axl's comments, Weiland wrote in an open letter, "Get in the ring. Go to the gym, motherfucker, or if you prefer, get a new wig, motherfucker. I think I'll resist the urge to 'stoop' to your level. Oh shit, here it comes, you fat, botox-faced, wig-wearin' fuck! O.K., I feel better now.

"Don’t think for a second we don't know where those words came from. Your unoriginal, uncreative little mind — the same mind that had to rely on its bandmates to write melodies and lyrics. Who's the fraud now, bitch?

"Damn, I couldn't imagine people writing for me. How many albums have you put out, man, and how long did it take the current configuration of this so-called 'band' to make this album? How long? And without the only guys that validated the name.

"How dare you! Shame on you! How dare you call our bass player 'spineless?' We toured our album over a year and a half. How many shows have you played over the last ten years? Oh, that's right — you bailed out on your long-awaited comeback tour, leaving your remaining fans feeling, shall we say, a trifle miffed?! I won't even list what I've accomplished because I don't need to. What we're talking about here is a frightened little man who once thought he was king, but unfortunately this king without his court is nothing but a memory of the asshole he once was."

Scott made some good points, but both of them are speaking for Slash so I think we need him to step up and tell us what's really going on....odds are Axl's just trying to get back in the press

Both bands are putting out new albums so this does feel a bit calculated.....

While I don't own any albums from either band (not my cup of tea) I have a bit more respect for VR than Axl....Weilands letter pretty much outlines all the reasons why Axl has fallen from grace.....This isn't to say Weiland is any better: he's an egocentric and tempermental powderkeg...Just like Axl.

...And as far as a physical confrontation it would be like a damn catfight more than anything.....My bets on Weiland though....he has alot of hostility, former addicts fight with determination thats only equaled by people on PCP.

"Who's the fraud now, b****?"

~best line in an open letter EVER!

AXL ... Has gone from someone I atleast respected in very much the same way as Anselmo (meaning respect but from what I've herd of him would probably not like). To someone that I gotta wonder why or how he's even considerd relavent. He destroyed his own band a band that could have been the greatest since Aerosmith in there prime. He took it tore it apart and is about to sh** on it's memory. Now he goes from singing the praises of SLASH in a recent interview although he claimed to not have spoken to him in ten years. To this new statement of SLASH groveling.I don't know any of these guy's but it does sound suspect to me.Now SCOTT on the other hand.We all know his issue's.He's been in rehab more times than Robert Downey Jr.However unlike AXL he allway's manages to get it together. He even put out a solo album. It flopped like a wet pan cake but he did it.Let's face it AXL is more than likely trying to cultivate this rivalry just to generate sales for a record that most of his fans will probably not care about.Yeah sure it will sell at first for curiosity sake but will it meet the expectation's of the record exec's and other assorted money people that are waiting for it.Let's face it AXL need's a HIT!Rumor has it the record label he's on has sunk so much financial backing into this decade long project that for all of there sakes this better be an unadulterated masterpiece or they'll be in bankruptcy court shortly. He did it to himself.

Well, I've seen both VR and GnR (the Slash/Duff version) and I saw the same intensity in both bands. GnR were pretty bad a$$ and VR put on a hell of a show. So being as VR put 1 badass disc and are working on another in just a few years and Axl has yet to put out his, I'd say VR has the upperhand here. Plus, I heard the s h i t music that came out from Axl not too long ago, and I think I'll be skipping it. Yeah, they are both prima donnas, and maybe even hypcrital, but Weiland is the one currently doing music. Axl is just posing for the few fans he has left, trying to drum up interest in his crap.

hell, i love STP, but VR? not really caring too much. and GnR were good for a song or two back in the days of yestermillenium - ie late eighties, early nineties, but Axl's well past his prime. that shlt is over-ripe to the point of biodegrading, no joke. Weiland and Rose should get in that ring and double K.O. each other. i'd smile.

Time to entertain the absurd....Hell, knowing these 2 they may show up on the same red carpet one day...Maybe not so outlandish...

In an actual fight you can RELY on Axl to fight dirty. He was known for coming out of confrontations before GNR were signed by going straight for the balls or using beer bottles....Smart but also cheap....On the other hand Weiland had the nerve to go into the worst ghettos and barrios for heroin(!) AND spent time in lockup.....You can imagine he's probably not a pushover....

Axl has gotten pretty fat too...One punch to the gut may well end the whole thing... where as Weiland is pretty scawny but a bit muscled too ....he would be harder to topple...As the saying goes "skinny guys fight till they're burger."

They're both f***ing divas though....

My $$$'s still on Weiland.

THIS IS ALL TRUE & I AGREE.Axl clearly has not spent much time in the gym over the last few years.Although in his younger day's he was notoriously volatile. He probably does not have any wind left.On the other hand Scott is thin but he does have some muscle on him.In Martial Art's circle's this is the guy you don't f*** with.Especially if you don't really know what you might get. That plus the fact that recovering addict's do have alot of pent up aggrivation and that's why the ones that stay off drug's have one thing in common.THEY WORK OUT CONSTANTLY !!! So he's probably in good shape to say the least. Then the fact that part of his rehab was going to the JET CENTER with DUFF.The place turn's out world class KICK BOXERS every year. From what I understand even Mustaine did a stint thier. It will probably never happen like it did not happen with VINCE but my money's on weiland.Unless Axl's been hangin with FAT NINJA.

I saw VR last year and they rocked, the music was tight as f*** & they played like a band, some thing that GNR never really did due to there drink & drug probs! so lets leave GNR where it belongs in the past yes they made some of the greatest music ever! but that was then and this is now. Now is VR not the sad excuse for guns that axl keeps trying to drag out into the lime light only for him to lose the plot & f*** off again for a few more years! Please axl put GNR to bed & let us all live with fond memories of them & dont destroy that with this freak show, if you want to release new music ( as i still as a fan would like him to) then bring us a solo album and forget a bout GNR it will probably lose the weight around your neck & we might see some real creativity from you! RIP GNR Long live VR!!!!

Alright, Granted that I am both a Guns ' n ' Roses & Velvet Revolver Fan, I am a way bigger fan of G'n'R than VR.. However....Is anyone really surprised that Axl started talking S**T? I'm not. Axl has always done this kind of S**T, & it was never any secret to anybody who even cared enough to pay attention longer than 1 minute or so. Scott Weiland's open letter was nothing short of the truth, really. Not to mention the fact that Axl started the "S**T Talking ", & "Slandering" against Scott, but also his ex-bandmates who in my opinion, don't deserve that...they deserved better back then when they were in G'n'R, and they DESERVE better now. Period!! Axl has no one but himself to blame for all this , before, and now! It's really a shame that he couldn't set his personal issues aside somehow, or at least try to work through them whatever way that he could've.... but instead this is the Axl Rose we all know and have come to Hate more than Love. No mistake about it, Axl was one of the most amazing & fiercest frontmans ever, but without the band who completed and made G'n'R what G'n'R was, Axl will never know what that feels like again, & you would think he'd have learned any lesson out of it, big or small, but why would he change now if he didn't then when it really mattered? He wouldn't....So F**K him. Scott Weiland has the upper-hand in this and looks like the bigger person, who's just not going to let Axl slam him, or his bandmates, as he should!

Good Job Scott!!!

Axl Rose is a punk b****. Scott Weiland has been putting out good music since the early 90's, even though his solo album sh** the bed pretty hard. I like the fact that Scott took the time to tear Axl a new a$$hole. Chinese Democracy has been on hold forever, now. It's never coming out. Velvet Revolver is going to put out a follow up to their masterpiece either by the end of this year or early next year. Slash would be stupid to go running back to Axl like that. f*** you, Axl.
