Macabre Sample From Upcomming DVD Available for Download

Chicago-based horror metallers MACABRE have issued the following update at their website:

"A Macabre DVD, True Tales of Slaughter and Slaying, is due to be released sometime in 2006. We've got a Quicktime sample! Please note that this is a big file (21meg) and I couldn't get the video to work on my Windows PC. It did work on my Mac! This is still a rough edit, expect even higher quality from the actual DVD.

In other news, Macabre and openers ION VEIN are hosting the 8th Annual Holiday Horror show on Friday, December 23rd at the Double Door in Chicago. The band will be giving away a free MP3 CD of their only Christmas song, 'Holiday Of Horror', from their Gloom album.

The video plays fine on a windows PC, just make sure you have quicktime.
pretty good video, not too crazy all over the place cuts and snippit shots of action like most DVDs are these days. really allows you to feel like you are standing in one spot and focusing in on where the action is in the music, rather than a lot of fancy FX and weird angles. i dont' want to see some weird fish eye video of my favorite band's drummer. save money just shoot it straight on from 4 angles. drummer cam, stage left, stage right, center stage (also be used to zoom in and out for crowd shots and overhead). thats all you need, even that is overdoing it. good to see this band doing it right. the clip i saw of the quo vadis DVD is like this too. go you guys, hope people buy your DVDs and more bands realize its not about fancy crap, but being able to understand whats going on. you wanna feel like you are at a show, not watching a music video.
