DTYK Debuts New EP Online

The Iowa hardcore band DTYK has put two tracks from their new “For the Proud” EP on their Myspace, pledging to release a new track each Monday so that visitors can preview the entire album before its release. The 7-track EP, which includes a short track “hidden” in the middle, was mastered by Eskil Lovstrom, who may be best known for his work on Refused’s “Shape of Punk to Come” and Poison the Well’s “You Come Before You.”

“For the Proud,” the title track of the EP, will remain permanently up for download. “Saturdays” is currently available to stream until next Monday, when a new song will take its place.

DTYK, formerly known as Death To Your King, is now searching for a label to call home. In the meantime, the band is pressing limited tour copies of “For the Proud” to take on the road as they spend two weeks in January with Amora Savant, With Dead Hands Rising, and Carnivale.
