London Terrorist Attacks Force Queen, QOTSA Cancellations

According to Billboard.com, today's (July 7) terrorist bombings in London have forced the cancellation or postponement of a number of concerts in the city. They include tomorrow's planned gig in Hyde Park by QUEEN + PAUL RODGERS, which has been postponed until July 15, and QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE's scheduled shows tonight at London's Somerset House and Camden's Koko, which have both been postponed; a new date has yet to be announced. "The band's hearts go out to everyone affected by this horrible attack," reads a message on QOTSA's official web site.

First off, sympathy to all the victims of this horrible attack. I know how it is, it'll be tough for awhile. Just hang in there.

Ok, RememberMetal?, the reason Queen is still around, despite the death of Freddie Mercury, is that the rest of the band decided they would go on. Kind of silmilar to Drowning Pool's re-emergance into music after Dave Williams died.

Brian May has done alot of projects since Mercury's death. I guess it was time to start Queen back up and play.

Earlier today, police in Birmingham evacuated Central Birmingham, which is the entertainment district. After some 30,000 people left, the police then led off a series of controlled explosions to detonate what were described as "Sophisticated devices."

I do not know yet whether or not they have let people return into Central Birmingham. It's certainly interesting to have this happen.

Truly a terrible thing.Terrorist's are really nothing more than some of the lowest level human waste possible.Harming people that have nothing to do with your issue just to draw attention to yourself. How much more spoiled can you get ?In any event I gotta send best wishes to the victim's and their famillies and I look forward to hearing this reincarnation of a great band.
