The countdown is on. Three weeks from now the North American Continent will be hit with a five week musical storm - The Sounds Of The Underground Tour launching June 25th in Lowell, Mass.!
Lead singer D. Randall Blythe proclaims: "Lamb Of God are very pleased to be included as the headliner for the Sounds Of The Underground tour. The tour has a very diverse line up, including many of our old friends, and showcases established acts as well as many excellent up and coming bands to watch for. Corporate politics had no part in the formation of this tour - this one's for the bands and the fans, not some executive's paycheck. The party is coming your way this summer - show up with your dancing shoes and help us bring the ruckus!"

simple plan and good charllette are pretty good bands actually
lamb of god are not too bad.......
this tour doesn't sound too bad, even if the bands are not really high calibre performers.
I suppose all the bands put together equal to one half decent meainstream band so for 30 bucks it may be ok.
... there is a huge difference between being accepted by the mainstream and selling out for the mainstream ...
LoG has gained acceptance by the mainstream cuz they are badass and added a little melody to the mayhem ...
Slipknot on the other hand sold-out for the mainstream and went full on gay ...

Maiden are an aging machine. An 8 track in the cd/dvd age perhaps. They were endlessly innovative and their talents transcend time and space --but-- they are also stranded with a timely sound. They are great for what they did not what they do.....and the lyrics are cheese to the 10th degree. We'll be saying the same thing 20 years from now about these bands....The clocks an unforgiving b**** my friend.
Opeth, Strapping Young Lad, Poison The Well and Lamb of God are more than worth the price of admission. Devil Driver, Chimaira, Terror, FATA, Unearth and Gwar just make the whole event are that much more exciting.
Best package tour you'll get to see for the next couple years unless this can repeat itself while not going the way of Ozzfest.....
Examples- Limp Bizkit (98) POD and Methods of Mayhem( 00) Crazy Townand and Papa Roach (01) The Datsuns (03) ect etc till cows come home and chickens rise against the Colonel.
post 25 is right. maiden died along time ago. i spent alot of time in the 70's & 80's, going around the planet to see them in different cultures, & they were by far, the best show on the planet. then they died. ever heard the x factor? completely fukking ruined maiden for alot of fans. i'll listen to any maiden before 1984. the rest is sh**. fukkin keyboards, give me a break.
maiden didn't die, they are a 90 old sedated sh** bag
dude, norma jean and throwdown are pitiful...while this tour is infinitely better than ozzfest the metal scene still seems to cater to the masses. i'm so sick of this hardcore sh** music. there is absolutely no reason why opeth, gwar, stl, and f***ing high on fire (melvins!) should have to share the same stage as poison the well. just a screaming version of taking back sunday. it sickens me that i will have to listen to opeth standing next to a jerkoff with ripped jeans and a retro skid row shirt.
what the fuc k do you mean your sick of hardcore, with out HARDCORE metal would have never evolved into what it is today. We would still have twisted sister and all those fruity a$$ hair metal bands around, listen to some real HARDCORE like Cro- Mags, Agnostic Front, and Sick of It All and then youll appreciate Hardcore for what it really is, which is the Badest Music on the Fuc king planet.
