Pit Stories: Crowdsurfing And Singing Like A 'Legend'

Ready for a new Pit Story metal fans? This week's tale comes from the land of fire and ice: Iceland's Legend.

There is your typical crowdsurfing and then there is legendary crowdsurfing - the one that seems like it was planned all along with interactions from the band on stage and a passing of the torch (mic) while riding the hands of the crowd.

Vocalist Krummi Bjorgvinsson recalls the epic tale of drummer Frosti's adventure at an Iggy Pop performance:

Me (Krummi) and Frosti the drummer went to see Iggy Pop some years ago. We were of course super hyped to see one of our favorite artists. Spazzing out in the pit to every Stooges song I felt the urge to launch Frosti up and get him to crowdsurf. Carried by hands of the crowd he came closer and closer to the stage where Iggy was going all out performing 'I Wanna Be Your Dog' and then all of a sudden Frosti reached out his hand and Iggy passed him the microphone right in the part after the first chorus where he goes 'Well C´mon' and sure enough Frosti managed to scream that phrase into the mic on cue and then handed the mic back to Iggy as if it was planned all along. Iggy gave him a wink and kept on destroying the stage. It was beautiful. Total LEGEND!

Legend is ready to drop its sophomore album of dark wave entitled "Midnight Champion" on October 13, 2017 via Artoffact Records. Pre-order and purchase the album at this location.
