British producer extraordinaire (and former SABBAT guitarist) Andy "Undie" Sneap has posted the following message on his official web site:
"And so it turns out I am finally mixing the new ARCH ENEMY album, 'Doomsday Machine'.
"With them getting a slot on the Ozzfest, things have been very hectic, schedule-wise, with them having to use two studios to get the tracking done in time, but everythings going great and we are now well into the mix.
"Daniel [Erlandsson, drummer] and Rickard [Bengtsson, producer] came over last week to get things started and Mike [Amott, guitarist] came in on Tuesday.
"The material is really heavy, more solos which I always approve of and some great melodic stuff going on.
"Rickard's done a great job with the tracking, he did the bonus tracks for the 'Dead Eyes' EP that I mixed last year, so I knew we were in safe hands.
"Not much more to report. EXODUS has been put back due to complications with Tom's [Hunting, drummer] health as I'm sure you've all read about. Hopefully only by a couple of weeks as Paul Bostaph is stepping in, and the way it looks like it's going to pan out is I'm just going to mix...we'll see. I've heard Rob Dukes, their new singer, and he's a great addition, a lot of potential. Kinda reminds me of [late EXODUS frontman Paul] Baloff with timing and a more modern edge."
