Orm Reveals Self-Titled Album Details

Epic black metal quintet Orm just completed work on a debut album due for release on March 24th via Indisciplinarian. Today the label issues the artwork, full info, and a trailer for the album, as well as news on a string of upcoming shows.

On this self-titled release, Orm incorporates epic, melodic black metal's Nordic melancholy with a rocking, swinging feel, while thematically conveying a mythical cosmos of ancient times where magic, gods, and supernatural creatures inhabited the world as naturally as humans, animals, water, and forests.

The album consists of five lengthy tracks recorded live in the studio by producer Lasse Ballade (Solbrud, Halshug, Slægt) in Copenhagen, with additional choir recordings in the local Stefans Church. The album artwork is an oil painting on canvas created by the masterful Italian artist Paolo Girardi, who is known for his work with bands such as Bell Witch, Inquisition, and Black Breath.

"Orm" will see digital and vinyl release March 24th; stand by for additional audio samples, preorders, and more to be issued. The track listing is:

1. Blood Of Your Blood
2. Ancient Echoes
3. Temple Of The Deaf
4. Apotheosis
5. A Tree Ablaze/Yggdrasil Brænder

Orm played its first shows in 2016 after releasing several demo tracks online. Among those performances, the band played a highly-praised show at the prestigious Roskilde Festival in Denmark, and impressed both critics and audience at Aalborg Metal Festival in November. Catch these upcoming shows:
