Band Photo: My Chemical Romance (?)

The Offspring, The Transplants, My Chemical Romance, Atreyu, Avenged Sevenfold and Thrice head the list of bands announced for this Summer's VANS Warped tour of America. Also on the bill are Dropkick Murphys, Fall Out Boy, Hawthorne Heights, Motion City Soundtrack, MxPx, Senses Fail, Strung Out, The Bled, The Explosion, The Matches, The Starting Line, Tsunami Bomb and Underoath. There will be a number of different stages and other attractions. Tickets go on sale via www.warpedtour.com from March 15.

I thought WARPED was a stricktly alternative/punk show.They do have the occasional hip hop or rap performer but people don't realize Hip Hop and american Punk both started right around the same time in the same place CBGB's in new york all those years ago.In any event it may be good to see what happen's with them branching out.

Believe it or not I know a guy who got into hardcore and metal by being a fan of the Offspring....

He went to their shows when they were still pretty unknown (early and mid 90's) he ended up seeing bands like snapcase, dropkick murphys and hatebreed (not a fan of hatebreed myself but theres a point to this) and now he's into grind, metalcore and death metal bands and weirdly he has the offspring to thank...

What I'm getting to is: If this tour does well with heavier bands on it, there maybe more fans getting into bands we like, supporting those bands who can pay to make their next record or even get signed to a major....Most of the bands on this bill suck cat shiit, but like deathbringer said, some bands can be "gateway" bands like pot is a "gateway" drug.

"YES" I had the pleasure of working security for the show on three seperate occasion's and with the ecception of those SMELLY ,PUNK b**** SKIN HEAD FUTURE PRISON b****ES OF OTHER BIGGER SKINHEAD NAZI SCUM SUMb****ES fa**ot'S!!! I didn't think the Transplants were gpoing to be on the tour this year, I thought Rancid were working on their new album?
