Tripp Eisen's Bail Set At $1 Million; Next Court Appearance Scheduled For Wednesday

Former STATIC-X guitarist Tripp Eisen's bail has reportedly been set at $1 million on charges that include kidnapping, sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

Eisen, whose real name is Tod Rex Salvador, appeared in Central Justice Center Court in Santa Ana, California, on Monday afternoon (Feb. 28) and is scheduled to make his next appearance at the Central Superior Court in Santa Ana on Wednesday (March 2).

Eisen was arrested in Orange County, California, for allegedly meeting and sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl two months ago in New Jersey. The 39-year-old musician allegedly met the Sayreville, New Jersey girl on the Internet, drove from Pennsylvania on January 7 to meet her, and assaulted her in a shopping center in Old Bridge, New Jersey. The girl's mother found out about the incident and alerted police.

Eisen faces a maximum of 30 years in prison if convicted on the kidnapping charge alone.

On February 10, Eisen was arrested on one felony count of crimes against children. Authorities from the Orange County (California) Sheriff's Department found the 39-year-old musician sleeping in a parked car with an underage female with whom he'd just had sexual intercourse, according to Bergen, New Jersey's The Record. Eisen was taken into custody and released on $100,000 bail several hours later.

Eisen's attorney, Mark Werksman, expressed confidence that his client's "name will be cleared."

You people dont have to wish him dead. The jail that he is being kept in has him on suicide watch. I dont agree with what he did, yet, if he is innocent or not it will be proven why jump to conclusion? none of use quite f***ing know what is really going on. People that were his fans are turning on him and with good reason. Then again, i dont see the reason to act like the pilgrim village and f***ing torch him without knowing the true facts. Knowing from experience, the police can miscomunicate and misinform the media about the facts in order to protect the family and the person in custody. Its call tactis, and most people dont realise that the media is controlled by the police and the government itself they wont show you EVERYTHING and they wont tell you what they think you dont need to know, think about it.

I have been a fan of Tripp's and Static-X for alot of years now and I have been in shock for the last few days. I am hoping it was a set up of some kind . The bad thing is even if he didn't do it, it has probably hurt his name and Static-X. Thats a shame Wayne worked hard for this band. If he did do it he definately needs help. I hope he didn't.

hey, I've known tripp for a long time - he is a great person. He is amazingly intelligent, intuitive and so professional. At times when I am unsure of what is happening in my world, I'll call him for advice. Yeah, I look up to him. Whatever this is, whatever happened between these two people was not perverse, and it was nothing intentionally illegal on Tripps part I have to believe. Trippy is just too damn good. I respect him and will continue to look up to him not only for his talent and tenaciousness, but for his integrity as well.
