While Heaven Wept Update

Long- time running epic doom masters While Heaven Wept are currently rehearsing material for their much aniticipated full-length album Vast Oceans Lachrymose.

Tom Phillips has posted detailed news and up-date on the up-coming album. Here's what he says:

"Currently we're rehearsing the material for the forthcoming Vast Oceans Lachrymose album, and are slated to begin recording in April, with a release date of late September/early October. Although we haven't finalized the tracklist for the album, these are some of the songs that may make the final cut:

Deception Plague
The Gathering Blades
Hour Of Reprisal
Unplenitude (alternate version)
To Grieve Forever
King Of The Sunken Halls
Destroyer Of Solace
Shipwrecked Within
The Mourning Eterne (2004 arrangement)
Vast Oceans Lachrymose
Into Catatonia
The Memory Of Bleeding

As previously stated the material is overall more Epic than ever before, and often more aggressive than anything we've done in the past. That being said, the few "insiders" that have heard early demos/rehearsals have commented that "it sounds like the old WHW" and I agree that it's similar to the diversity of the material circa "Lovesongs..." and prior, albeit more cohesive and mature.

Due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts, I will be handling the vocals again personally for this recording, however if the subsequent tour takes place during the timeframe we've discussed, Louis will be taking over those duties as planned. We're still negotiating a deal for "Vast Oceans Lachrymose" but I assure you an announcement of a new partnership will be made soon.
