Following in the wake of Lamb Of God's chart-topping album release last month, heavy metal is dominating the music scene again as Slayer's "Repentless" becomes the #2 selling album in the world according to the United World Chart, Media Traffic's amalgamation of official album sales charts from dozens of principal countries around the world.

The album scored a Top 10 debut in 25 countries, Top 5 in 14 countries, and made career-highest debuts in the United States, the UK, Germany, The Netherlands and New Zealand.

"Repentless," the first music video for the album, has now amassed more views in less than two weeks than any of the band's previous music videos during the same time frame - more than four-million views at social media.

The top 3 on this chart right now are rock/metal albums.

Iron Maiden is #3 (after being #1 last week) and Bring Me The Horizon is #1 now.

I can't believe all of the people that said "Slayer is dead." Anyone that gives this album an honest listen will see it is awesome...and the sales represent that.

Glad they carried on, even without Jeff. Too bad he's not here to be part of their current success (the inclusion into the Smithsonian as well), but everyone knows he's a major reason the world is finally waking up. The "new" line-up is still f***ing excellent!
