Pure Rock Records Inks Deal With Starquake

Starquake, the studio project of German multi-instrumentalist, singer, sound angineer and producer Mikey Wenzel a/k/a The Voice," signed on with Pure Rock Records for the release of the album "Times That Matter." The release date and other details will be announced shortly.

Influenced by the greats of metal and progressive rock - Iron Maiden and Spock's Beard - the music of Starquake features heavy guitars, huge drums and elaborate vocals. Spiced up with a good amount of Hammond organ with big arrangements, the picture is harmonic and melody-oriented.

With guest-musicians (which include music-teachers and a musicologists), all of whom look back on long years of stage and studio experience, Mikey creates a sonic journey with Starquake with a nod to the '70's and '80's, while still sounding contemporary.

Mike commented: "After long hard work it is finally done, 'Times that Matter' is ready, and Starquake [is] very happy to have found Pure Rock Records, a label that shares the musical visions of this project."
