The Rockstar Ramblings: Stressed Out!

New music and videos from Sixx:A.M. and Screaming Eagles this week.

First up, the long-awaited third release from Sixx:A.M., entitled 'Modern Vintage', will be released in October. The band, comprised of Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx, vocalist James Michael and guitarist DJ Ashba, recently released the first single and video from the album, "Gotta Get It Right.” The band looks way more “scrubbed” than usual. That’s what DJ Ashba looks like? I like the old look guys. The song is more “poppy” than their past music, which I guess matches their new look. Seriously, that’s what DJ Ashba looks like? I had no idea. Anyway, if you ever wanted to see how to shoot a video of two people texting back and forth this is a decent template to start with…

The Screaming Eagles have released a new video for the song "Devil In The Dust" taken from their debut album 'From The Flames.’ COUNTDOWN! The video is the band back stage and on stage. The fan wearing a sleeveless leather jacket in the front row (pointing to the sky with the drum beat) is the star of the video for me. He looks so baked I bet he doesn’t even know who is playing. Also, lots of shaved heads: Is this a look or the worlds most stressed rock band? I guess I’ll have to wait for the Screaming Eagles Behind The Music. Bonus: Lots of strobe lights. Who doesn’t like a good strobe light? (Note: People who get seizures from them.) Oh yes, I always forget about them…
