The Rockstar Ramblings: Dirty Lips

This week new videos from Glitzy Glow and Kristy Majors and the Thrill Kills; the videos may be new, but the music is a throwback to simpler, stranger time.

Swedish based rockers Glitzy Glow have released a video for their new single "Strike The Right Note.” The song will be featured on the band's upcoming full-length debut, slated for an August release through Independent Ear, Inc. My thought on the intro: GUITAR GODS! One is wearing those skinny futuristic plastic sunglasses from the eighties (future then being the nineties) and the other guitar player looks like a fucked up Jack White. Kid Rock’s long lost brother is on the drums. As for the vocalist, she’ll totally kick your ass…

Kristy Majors and the Thrill Kills, featuring members of Pretty Boy Floyd and Murderdolls, have released the video for the single "Broken Lip", from the band's self-titled debut album. This band definitely likes their hardcore “rock and roll” rings. I categorize this as a fighting song. This is the type of song a “gym rat bro” will listen to in the gym and then use as an excuse to “go off” and punch someone in the gut. He blames the song, but it’s really just roid rage…
