Canker Re-Issuing Albums Via Xtreem Music

Spanish death metal band Canker will have three albums re-issued through Xtreem Music during 2014/2015. The label comments:

"Formed back in 1990 under the name of Post Mortem, they soon changed into Canker and released a killer demo in 1991 where they started to make waves within the national scene, becoming one of the leading acts back then.

"The first planned re-issue, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the album, is the band's acclaimed debut 'Physical' released in 1994, which was produced by no other than Colin Richardson (Carcass, Bolt Thrower, Napalm Death, Cannibal Corpse, Gorefest...), and remains as one of the top death metal albums within the Spanish scene. This one will come out as a double CD containing the band's Demo '91 as well as the very first and unreleased 6-song Demo '90 under the name of Post Mortem. Release date hasn't been set yet, but will be around Sept./Oct. 2014.

"Next one will be the 2nd album from 1997 'Exquisite Tenderness,' an album that was released through their own manager back then, who gave them no promotion and distribution at all making of this album a rare item and an underrated work. This re-issue will feature brand new cover artwork as well as some live bonus tracks from '95. No release date for this one yet.

"Last of the three re-issues, although this one isn't really a re-issue, but a proper release, is the band's 3rd album 'Earthquake,' which was recorded back in 2005 and remained unreleased until now, so this one will come out during 2015 to coincide with the 10th anniversary of such recording.

"We're sure all Spanish extreme metal maniacs will applaud this series or re-issues since this band means an alive legend within our scene and only the most expert foreign maniacs will know Canker from back in the days, but don't worry!! Both old and new generations will be able to re-discover this awesome band of intense and technical death metal with a thrashy edge full of killer riffs and melodies!!"
