Heavy metal legend Philip Anselmo and best-selling true crime author Corey Mitchell’s groundbreaking horror-meets-metal extravaganza, the Housecore™ Horror Film Festival, already released a slew of jaw-dropping additions to this year's lineup, and have now returned with an even bigger announcement.

They are very proud to welcome on board the legendary Glenn Danzig, who will treat fans to a U.S. exclusive combined headline performance of immortal classics from both Danzig and Samhain!

It's all going down at Emo's in Austin, TX between the unhallowed dates of October 23-26, 2014.
Anselmo stated of his good friend Danzig, “Glenn has taken me under his (black) wings since I was a young upstart in the music (horror) business and he's a cool mofo!”

Danzig, a longtime horror enthusiast, has expressed his affection for the genre for more than 35 years via his various groundbreaking horror-themed musical acts The Misfits, Samhain, and his eponymous solo project, Danzig. In addition, the horrortrepeneur darkens the minds of impressionable folks with his subversive underground horror comic book publishing company, Verotik, which includes titles like Satanika and Grub Girl.
But that's not all!

We've also confirmed the mighty Neurosis, who will bring their monolithic slabs of crushing catharsis to HHFF's stage for a rare and exclusive performance. They will be joined by Polish death metal icons Decapitated, old-school Australian thrash titans Hobb's Angel of Death, and the Godfather of dark ambient himself, Lustmord. This performance will mark Lustmord’s fourth show ever in the United States in his more than 30-year career. He has also worked with The Melvins, Tool, Puscifer, Isis, Coil, to name but a few, and is known as a sound designer on several films including cult classics "The Crow" and "Underworld."

In addition, attendees can expect to be bludgeoned by a horde of bloody upstarts...
Hobbs' Angel of Death
King Parrot
Gasmiasma (feat. Pat Bruders of DOWN)
Heavy As Texas (Feat. Marzi Montazeri of Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals)
Skan (feat. former members of Skrew)
Child Bite
Chant (feat. Bradley Bills of Die Krupps)
Images of Violence reunion
Dead Earth Politics
and special guest comedian Brian Posehn.

This latest round of additions joins an already immense list of bands that features a hugely diverse array of metallic talent, including:
Cattle Decapitation
Wizards of Gore (AKA Rigor Mortis)
KEN mode
Acid Witch
Author & Punisher
Fulgora (featuring members of Pig Destroyer, Misery Index)
Krigblast (featuring Felix Griffin from D.R.I.)
Evil United (featuring Jason McMaster from Watchtower, Dangerous Toys, Broken Teeth)

On top of all that, the one and only Randy Blythe (Lamb of God) will be joining in the fun with us at HHFF this year. He'll be on hand for a live interview after a special screening of "As The Palaces Burn" and is set to be a guest presenter at the Rotscars.

This outstanding collection of heavy metal's best and baddest will be joined by plenty of others, including a few more heavy hitters that will blow your mind straight out the back of your skull. There's plenty more on the way to please the full-on film buffs and horror freaks, too. We've already announced a jaw-dropping film event to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the most important film in Texas history, "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre." Not one, not two, but ALL of the living members of the main cast have agreed to appear at HHFF ’14, including Leatherface himself!

^they will be doing a few other dates bro...got an email yesterday announcing LA and Frisco, and I think there's two or three on the east coast as well

So not really a "tour" per se, but maybe you'll be able to catch one of these other dates...man I'd love to see em, but afeared the timing just ain't gonna work out

I'm too broke to travel but if he could come down to Atlanta, I'd be a happy guy. Samhain was a force to reckon with back in the day.

For sure man...very unique and bad ass, yet has always seemed to fly under the radar, even back in the few years they were active

The "posthumous" record Final Descent was actually the very first physical compact disc I ever bought upon its release in 1990...only reason I got the disc is cuz they didn't have in cassette, and I was getting that fvcking record no matter what! I didn't even have a cd player yet, so I dubbed it onto a tape off my sisters sh!tty little "multi media" boombox :)

Not sure who the lineup is gonna be for these shows, but I'm pretty disappointed that I will likely miss em in LA

Hope they get a good response and will consider doing some more shows in the future \m/
