"some music was meant to stay underground..."

The Rockstar Ramblings: Comedy Gold

This week is a good time for a laugh and these bands have just what we need. First, The Last Vegas are playing dress-up, and then Outloud wants the seventies back and 3D In Your Face are just adorable.

Chicago's The Last Vegas recently released their highly anticipated fifth studio album 'Sweet Salvation' and have posted the album's latest music video for the single "You And Me.” The video showcases the members of the band dressing up as glam rockers, country stars, hip hop, etc… You get the idea. The strangest thing to me was that it reminded me of a Tommy Lee Biography…

Outloud will release their long-awaited third album 'Let's Get Serious' and have released the album's first official music video for the single "I Was So Blind.” Not a huge fan of melodic bands, seem to all want to be Queensryche. Anyway, dig the seventies start, but did half expect the cast from Welcome Back Kotter to make a cameo (that is more my issue than a problem with the video). Other items I enjoyed were the sleeveless jean jackets and seeing the lead singer’s huge hands. You know what they say about huge hands? Big fucking gloves!

Omaha, Nebraska's 3D In Your Face are a genuine nostalgic trip down memory lane. The video is for the song “In Your Face.” I’ve never seen such a light show to kick off a video and definitely not such a long intro. Each passing second I was expecting a lot more! At 2:16 the vocals start and the sheet drops. Apparently behind the sheet is 1987. Not much else to say other than NO, that was not worthy of a two minute intro…
