The Rockstar Ramblings: 5 Years and Counting

Holy shit this column has existed for five years! Some may suggest five weeks was too many. Anyway, we keep plugging along. This week’s videos feature rock stars roughing it in the wilderness, experiencing a not-so-special drink and an appearance by Waldo. Yes, that Waldo.

L.A. band, Diamond Lane, have released a video for "My Enemy", from their upcoming album 'Terrorizer.’ When I was young I camped out a lot and always wanted to eat out of the can, but was not allowed. To me this was truly roughing it, second only to Rambo in First Blood hunting and eating the wild boar. Yes, I owned a Rambo knife when I was a kid…

Silver Addiction have released a video for the song "Hangover Death", from their recently released album 'All In Vain.’ The video is based on the band blacking out or at least becoming very intoxicated after being served a special drink from a bartender. I think we have all had this drink once before, it goes down real smooth and it’s called Southern Comfort…

Screaming Eagles have released a video for "All The Way", taken from their debut album 'From The Flames.’ Any scene that begins with a Where’s Waldo cameo is okay in my book. The video takes a more random turn with super hero pajamas and cross dressing. Then there is the mysterious man drinking red wine while wearing a suit. There is something very disturbing about that man and his suit. Given the randomness and title “All The Way” my suggestion would have been to go all out and include a Gary Busey cameo. Just have Busey sitting on a couch yelling at a TV that is showing Point Break, or not…

Thank you everyone for checking out The Rockstar Ramblings!
