Wovenwar - featuring the talents of Jordan Mancino (drums), Nick Hipa (guitar), Phil Sgrosso (guitar), and Josh Gilbert (bass/vocals) of act As I Lay Dying and Shane Blay (vocals) of Oh, Sleeper - has just released the first single titled "All Rise."

The track off the band's upcoming self-titled debut, due out in late Summer, 2014. Check out the song below or over at the official Wovenwar site here.

Over approximately the last year, Wovewar completed work on the new material recorded with producer Bill Stevenson (Descendents, Black Flag), with mixing duties currently being handled by Colin Richardson (Slipknot, Machine Head, Trivium). Further details on the release are forthcoming.

Sounds like a new power metal band if you ask me.
the band sound's good, the vocals are a bit too girly man for me but i think they will be alright career wise.
whether you are an as i lay dying fan or not you got to be rooting for these guys after what they have went through the past year.

Just remember......this ISN'T As I Lay Dying. There are NO harsh vocals on it. ONLY cleans. I don't really hear to much of AILD in this sound oddly enough. Obviously it's a way more alternativish/heavy rock type of sound with Shane on vocals now. I think he brought a slightly different sound out of the AILD guys with this. I'm interested to hear more since I like both AILD and Oh, Sleeper. I'm happy this is what the AILD guys are doing now. I wish them well.

I know this clearly isn't As I lay Dying but this does sound very much like it could be off their Awakened, album just with clean vocals. This isn't a bad thing by anymeans, I'm a big fan. I don't know much of Oh, Sleeper but his voice does seem to have a decent range.

I did feel AILD were getting slightly 'samey' after the last two ablums. So hopefully they can breathe some life into it with an new influence and a new name. I also am interested to see what Tim brings out in the future, whatever form it takes.

I look forward to hearing more.
