After last week's April Fools shenanigans, now it's back to business for the Metalunderground.com Official Podcast. Co-hosts Kevin Perez (n0thinghead) and Mike Smith (OverkillExposure) kick things off with detailed reviews of two new releases.

Early this month, Italy's Lacuna Coil released seventh studio album "Broken Crown Halo," which Mike considers a fantastic followup to "Dark Adrenaline" [2012, reviewed here] and the popular gothic metal group's best effort since "Comalies." [2002] Check out his reasons.

In turn, Kevin tackles the debut self-titled EP from eclectic progressive act Lesser Key, featuring founding Tool bassist Paul D'Amour. While he's enjoyed it thoroughly, he does have some reservations.

Lastly, your co-hosts address the recently announced bill for the annual Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival. While not exactly enthralled, they both make an effort to sort out the diamonds in the rough and find some good to celebrate. It's best to approach these things with an open mind.

Take a listen here, enjoy, and offer us your feedback.
