As I Lay Dying Responds To Unauthorized Statement From Tim Lambesis

Earlier today a statement was posted online which appeared to come from the members of As I Lay Dying updating the band's status while Tim Lambesis awaits sentencing for attempting to hire a hit man to murder his ex-wife.

Now guitarist Nick Hipa has announced via his Facebook page that the statement - despite being written in the third person about Tim Lambesis and seeming to come from Jordan Mancino - was actually written by Tim himself.

While the content of the message about the other members moving forward with different projects was apparently correct, the rest is not as clear. Nick comments:

"Good day friends,

"This morning an update was posted over at www.asilaydying.com on the current happenings and individual futures of all the bands' members. For Jordan, Josh, Nick, Phil, management, and record label, this was an interesting first time read as all parties were oblivious to its construction, intent, and release.

"Though Tim is the only one with access to the As I Lay Dying site, the rest of us have been releasing content through our personal social media accounts to reveal that we are carrying on in a new band. Our truest intentions were to make this unveiling interesting and exciting for anyone who has supported us over the past year. With information so instantaneous and disposable these days, we had hoped to show you how things were coming together rather than simply tell you.

"We never want to capture attention dramatically, which is precisely why we've been off the radar for close to a year. Though the third-person statement released earlier compromises a lot of how we had hoped to unroll things, we remain positive in our outlooks and look forward to sharing new music soon.

"With love and gratitude,

"Jordan, Josh, Phil, Nick."

Its really not surprising at all after you read through the " we arent christians anymore" crap, tim still needs to rehab himself personally and the band is moving on to another project with mis labeling the aild trademark, am a little surprised this came out before his sentence has been made official but other than that there is no omg moment out of this statement. I think them reforming will have alot to do with the success of jordans project, if it works you may never see aild again, if it doesn't you'll probably see them back in the next 3-4 years.
be shocked if lambesis did any time in an actual cell, especially with his stellar record prior to all this happening, a year or 2 or house arrest or in a half way house max.
good luck to both sides
